Alright so we all know about Abel’s imfamous F+Mk to Fierce Punch (Heavy Punch) and how much damage and the mix-ups and etc. Alright well I’ve been playing Abel for the past few months and I’ve learned ALOT about him. Now one of the very important things I learned is that F+MK to a CROUCHING OPPONENT DOES NOT WORK ON EVERYBODY. Now the reason I am making this thread is to make it public, I haven’t seen anything on this at all so I just want to put this out there for all my Abel players ;D.
On a crouching opponent F+MK to Fierce punch ONLY works on:
Guile
Fei Long
Gouken
Zangief
Seth
Sagat
Balrog
Abel
El Fuerte
Sakura
Gen
We all know that the way the best way to block MOST attacks NOT ALL (Don’t come at me calling me a noob saying that Crouching block doesn’t block overheads and shit) so if you ever catch someone crouching and happen to hit them of course your gonna dash forward…Well now you know who it works on Lol. Alrighty guys I hope this helps you out.
Now…thank you all for informing me that this was already around, I haven’t seen it before…but anyways. Could you guys enlighten me with what this Plinking thing is? Yet another thing i’ve NEVER heard of until today =/ its kinda dissapointing…is there a certain thread where all of this is in? Thanks in advance guys.
Abel has 1 frame links like crazy and even if you can hit them just with one button press in training mode, in a match its totally different. You need to increase your odds of hitting the combo as much as possible… There is no reason to not plink.
until one day you drop the combo and get hit by a mashed EX messiah to ultra to lose winner’s bracket finals because you, for some reason, chose to ignore a really simple method of doubling your chances to hit links because… why?
can u explain why hitting two buttons almost simultaneously increases the chances of getting ur desired combo?? does it give u a little more frames for the desired move to come out??cause i tried plinking abels f+mk into st. HP and i still do it incomplete too much for my liking. also plinking abel’s f+mk into st. HP in training mode and the ideal input display would be (fwd+mk), (fwd), (HP), (MP+HP) right??
i used to NOT p-link my s. hp link, thought it was cheap. but its part of the game, so doing it is essential. trust me, 2 frames is much better than 1 and doubling my odds of landing that combo is very important.
