I understand that, but I’d rather have a hit not be punished (Probably how most blanka players feel about blanka ball lol)
I want that alternate…and not have to pay.
I don’t want anything fancy. My request would be a simple input change. I’d love for the toward+MK (dash cancelable) to not require holding toward. Basically swap the standing MK normal with the toward+MK. This would make dash cancelling it less difficult.
But perhaps I’m one of the few who can’t connect the toward+MK dash cancel into HP or MP consistently. :xeye:
You just have to practice it. f.mk is fine. I just want to know if you can c.hp ultra 2. I know in a video they tried c.hp->roll->ultra 2 but that didn’t work with ultra 1 so I’m not sure why they would include the roll and not try it a second time without it.
it can be jumped out of and punished and a perfectly spaced med,and heavy wheel kick can be jumped out of and lk is the only safe one on block heavy is definatly punishibale on block and sometimes on hit…ON HIT!!!and it doesnt knock down.plus alot of the times abels get lucky wit the flyswatter anti air wk.i know i have lol cant really predict or time that

that’s the best we wished so far IMO:
1- Either make Forward Forward, dash in st. Fierce hit everyone crouching, or have forward forward, dash-in mp link w/o counter hit.
2- Better wheel kick. make it knockdown but it must be unsfe.
3- Better Pokes. his only poke is st.lk but the damage sucks ( only 40 ). it must be 80 or 100 to be a ‘real’ poke.
4- better hit confirms. most of the cast can hit confirm huge combos without losing EX but why Abel can’t ?
5- the second hit of cr.hp shouldn’t whiff if the first connected.
6- His defense sucks unless he has meter. He has to guess a LOT when he get attacked.
I think that’s enough
Forward + MK forcing the opponent to stand would be nice.
It’s a move used to make your opponent lose balance and is usually followed up with a combo while they are unbalanced…
And when you are unbalanced don’t you usually stand and then try to use your feet to regain balance?
Did the new blog post just confirm that Abel’s ultra 2 grabs like raging demon? Because if so lol that’s awesome.
Yes, it is a grab Ultra, like Gief and Akuma.

Need to see the speed of it first, I can’t see how a Raging Demon would be slightly useful to Able. Also I swear I saw a Sagat block it at the Vegas show, was it not a grab at that point? Or does it need to be charged? Maybe within a certain distance to grab?

I wish Abel had a normal that could compete with Shoto cr.mk instead of being zoned out by one poke all day long.
Something with similar range to st.HK but less damage and startup would be nice. Doesn’t need to be cancellable. More of a want than a need though.
Not that it matters. “Makoto” is a Japanese word which means “Abel with good normals instead of a roll” and I’ll be on that shit like white on rice when Super is out.
If Makoto’s dash is as good as in 3s you won’t need a roll.

There’s been so many reports of moves being faster, so who knows about that.
Something I really hope they fix is being able to land roundhouse wheel kick clean, and the person being able to recovery quick enough to have a free srk.
That makes no sense. How can a move be unsafe on block AND hit?
s.lk? The look for openings to f.mk? f.mk usually reaches the hitbox during the recovery frames of a shoto’s c.mk.
Blanka balls? it sucks for Blanka because it’s somewhat integral to his game. Abel’s wheel kick, not so much. Someone suggested to give it knockdown on hit. Which isnt that bad of an idea considering you don’t have frame advantage on hit anyways. That would fix this ‘problem’ since wheel kick is only used to poke and surprise. If you give it knockdown, it would be pretty different. If you give it faster recovery/frame advantage, then it’s just Chun’s hazanshu
resres u know abels standing light kick cant really compete with shoto pokes not just the fact that u cant combo into anything but that it only does 40 damage @.@ also f.mk is not a good counter poke and leaves ur right out of range on blocked c.mk from a shoto,it has decent range but in my opinion to low of priority and leaves you open for to long on whiff(but still a good mov) not to meantion his standing mk has no use what so ever and his sweep is trash,
