I remember you saying you didn’t like to try the c.fp xx roll xx falling sky because you were worried about not being able to pull it off. In that case, instead of letting them hit the ground to punish with elbow, use FP falling sky as they are on their way back down from their shoryu or ultra. More damage than the elbow on its own, untechable knockdown so you can do it again, builds more gauge, etc. Also, looks way better.

Good stuff. About 30 seconds into the fight, you jump away on wake up. I like to throw out a lk (the knee) to maybe score a free hit. It helps against jump happy opponents, I find.
They should let you reset your GP. But then again, if that’s the case, even fewer people would be in G1, and it would be hard to find a match with people of similar skill. Maybe there isn’t a reasonable solution to this problem. I guess there’s always player match.

i kinda thought the same too hah. i beat the person ranked 4th and 5th/6th in gp and it was easy. i would think they would be decent but i guess they just play a lot… gp dont mean shit hah and seriously i would like to go back to g2 so i can at least play more players in championship mode

there is no time when I do a Cfp and try to juggle with kick and in the rare chance that I actually tried to do Cfp+FS i got nothing out of it but dead air.

I think the european online level is higher than the american. g1 is quite hard on european level for abel there are some good bisons and blanka and many solid ryu’s
i’ve watched a few replays of american players and most seem mediocre. I think its because the good american players dont play online because connection are worse or they have good offline comp.

Nice Abel! In round 3 where you did 3x c.lp > c.lk > super was awesome. I tried that in training mode last night and could not get the super to come out. Either the super would just not come out at all or it would be late and get blocked. Any tips?

shiro is top 6 with bp in japan. of course he wins still. i dont think he has qualifed for sbo yet but he will in time. there are a bunch of dates left for him to qualify.
Still odd the nr6 dude in japan (in terms of BP) has trouble qualifying.

well to qualify in japan is different than over here making it harder. i dont really know the deal with it but i think its like, they win a tournament and then they have to play the area winners or w/e and the winners of that qualify, so they pretty much have to win 2 different tournaments (i think). i mean there are still tons of spots left with a bunch of time left. daigo hasnt qualified either so i mean really it doesnt matter that he didnt qualify yet. there are players that might not even be top 20. oh and i remember there was a team guile/honda like wtf?!? shiro/iyo too sick to not qualify, just wait they will

But ya, I feel the same way about routing for my pro gamer as I do with my Pro baseball team. ya want him to win but even when he starts to lose you say “this will be the year (match)” either witch way, at least we HAVE a pro gamer to look at , Imagine what they have to look at on the cammy, gen fei long, rose, vega and sakura threads.
