TT -> forward dash -> lk roll, jump up avoids ex butt splash. I wonder if it avoids all versions? hhmm.

Are you saying ex tt and tt are different?
Tried it with both and yes it avoids all reversak butt slams! Will lose to slightly delayed lk and mk slam. If you empty jump, you can ultra an ex headbutt! The other thing I tried was jump forward instead of up and you can punish all butt slams with ultra but not headbutt since its too far.
Also the setup works with fs - backdash - lk roll - jump. Jump forward is the safest since Honda can’t hit you with a delayed butt slam/headbutt ultra but you can only punish a buttslam. If you see any buttslams after set up -> jump forward just Unfortunately, hardly any Hondas online and some ppl like to choose Honda when fighting my Viper.
In summary:
the set up: tt - forward dash - lk roll or fs - backdash - lk roll
jump up after set up
- all reversal butt slam’s whiff and Abel can punish with c.mp/ultra etc.
- can punish ex headbutt with ultra.
- lose to slightly delayed lk/mk butt slam and Honda can delayed ex headbutt or even ultra.
jump forward after set up
- ultra or mp cod to punish all butt slams.
- can’t punish ex headbutt.
- safest option.
if im not mistaken, youve slightly less frame adv after an ex tt.

Abel 9:14 onwards
The abel player mostly just did cr.lk tick TT, jump MK air to air, and somehow his opponent never tried to block on wakeup and got hit by non-ambiguous j.mk… I think he only managed to land one f.mk dash st.hp combo. Not saying one should have a lot of that to be legit, just that most of his source of damage are due to his opponents not having a clue about how to deal with his okizeme (not even the ambiguous stuff) and from punishing opponents recklessness.
Yeah, not a lot of roll mixup, just a lot of post-Falling Sky stuff. Plus it did seem the other guys were unfamiliar with the matchup, and I’m not sure if I agree with COD’ing off some of the c. hp’s instead of going to U1 straight away. (I might be thinking of a different set though.)

my “best” matches starts at around 3hr59min mark… earlier before that i fought a rufus on stream but didnt play that well…

after blocking ryu’s sweep I saw that you dashed up and then punished his backdash!
You also did a meaty jab and then punished ryu’s wake-up back dash… was that an os?
I also liked how against ryu you harassed him with a bunch of step kicks lots of which were empty…

Haha yeah those empty step kicks really messed him up, too bad I couldnt close the deal, despite taking it to the last round… I did kinda “throw” a round, first round of the last match where I did a lot of reckless dashing (instead of how Ive been playing the whole time vs him, which is walking forward like a boss) after eating so much unnecessary damage, mentally I was kinda frustrated and it felt like I didnt give a damn about that round anymore haha… But yeah, I think I did alright for someone who hasnt played the game for about 6 months…
So in the link above I fought Rufus, Fei/Ryu, and another Fei. The second fei probably saw my match vs Gackt’s Fei and predicted some of my tendencies (like double rolling to make reversals whiff) plus he pressured me more with safe chicken wing over and over again… It didnt help that I was actualy playing the tournament (from top 16 onwards) with an upset stomach due to something bad I ate for lunch haha. Ah well, it felt good to play this game again, in a way made me mad because where I’m living/working right now has no AE community that I’m forced to learn Tekken (which is also fun btw)…
