EX would lose in that instance because normal tornado throw has throw invincibility. To answer his question though, the EX command grab has the same range as the light version but does more damage. The fierce one has pretty shitty range in comparison.
Alright guys. I finally started capping some of my own matches. Just looked for some of the best players I could find. Here’s the first set of footage I came up with, vs. Dictator.

I have 2 more segments of me facing him, like 10 more matches or so. I’m kinda new to the flow of SF and he really layed the beat down on me HARD. Looking for any advice what so ever, whether it be about Abel specifically or just SF4 in general. I’m not linking directly to the HD quality because I know it can load kinda slow sometimes, just hit the button if you want it.

Can I actually ask you a question? What is your set up for recording in true HD? I only have my stuff set up on an old Yellow white red set up making the video from Xbox go into a VCR and from there audio video out into my capture card. My problem is that on my HDTV I have no way of sending any video out, only audio. I’m trying to find a way to send it on my VCR in HD but I must be an idiot and haven’t been able to set it up correctly.
My setup is pretty simple. I use THIS
I record HD through S-Video because thats all that video capture card can do. I just play on my Computer screen. My PC is pretty beastly though, not sure if you could play without lag on a less than high-end PC.
Hopefully they add replay saving to live matches soon. That way more people can capture matches without limitations.

Keep updating the blog… the stuff you’ve got up so far is great. The videos of tourney play are super helpful, getting to see shit like the ultra off of the rekka juggle. thanks for the feedback on the vids/blog. i hope i can get more footage of at least casuals but usually there isnt anyone there that can hold the camera for me :/. ill do my best to try to get some more vids of casuals or something if i get the chance (pretty much if i can get someone to record for me lol).

Sick, sick, sick. I have to say that the cr.HP -> Rekka -> Ultra might boost Abel up a little in the Tier list as it adds something that Abel needs badly, Anti-Air. Jumping in against Abel could lose the match, which is seemed to do in the videos.
Also, that Chun-Li was great. It definitely looked like it could’ve gone either way.
