^Well my friend, I watched all of your vids, and I can honestly say my Abel is better. I play better footsies, I utilize his wheel kick better, and I cross up well where yours is basically non-existent. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. Even if you did best my Abel, you couldn’t beat my Cody either. Yeah, I see you run your mouth a lot, and I have gained some respect for your knowledge, but I don’t concern myself with every detail, and that may be your problem. You know too much.

First of all, those vids were of me learning the matchup, i didnt get to fight cody that much, and i met a decent player online and added him to get a few games so i can learn the matchup. I didnt do that much research on every matchup since im also busy doing other shit besides playing this game. I posted my sets against the cody in the video thread to ask for feedbacks/advice etc, in other words, yes, i am learning this shit. Ive a tons of replays of me beating weak players, and guess what? I dont upload them, sure some exceptions when i upload for fun but most of my vids were of me fighting an at least decent player.
And funny how you purposely just linked to the vid where i did shitty and ignored my wins(not that i care) but yeah, i dont upload shit just to be cocky and shit, i upload vids of me winning and losing so i can learn, so people who watch can learn what to do or not to do. The match was the 10 out of 10 and final result was 5-5, not too bad for someone just learnin the matchup eh.

Is this move safe? or punishable? i read its like -10 on block…yet i dont get punished…can this be done in such a way that it is safe? or distance?
I figured this is punishable, but for some reason, not -10 unless point blank, realistically its around -5,-6 frames?
The next question I’m still uncertain.
- His ambiguous roll setup from TT and air TT, i’ve been practicing these lately, is this essentially a guessing game?
1st guess behind or in front of opp
2nd guess TT, air TT, hp into CoD, or c.hp
opponent can escape TT, and c.hp by jumping
opponent can espcapet air TT and hp into CoD by blocking
is there a way to make this “vortex” safer or is there a way smart opponents can get outta this?

BNBs: Combos 1-23. I made a feeble attempt at trying to pick out the important ones but they’re all pretty important even though theyre really just variations of each other depending if you have meter/ultra. The big ones are 21-23…basically if you dont have ultra, do fs instead. You’re not gonna get f.mk xx hp xx cod xx ultra/falling sky in day but your goal should be to get extremely comfortable with all variations of canceling into COD and fadcing into cr.hp xx /fs/reset mixups.
Your other goal should be to get REALLY comfortable using f.mk xx dash. I can’t stress how important this move is. This sets you up for basically all of abels mixups. Go to the video thread and watch how people are using it, both on block (TT, cr.lk/cr.lp block strings, cl.rh, etc) and on hit (hp xx cod). This is abels best normal by far…do not overlook it.
Also, as just a general tip…check abel stickies and use the search function. As an abel beginner im guessing 99% of the questions you might have have already been answered in some fashion or another. :bgrin:
On a totally unrelated note, shout out to juicebox for placing 3rd in devastation. Gave valle and marn serious runs for their money…I noticed quite afew f.mk ticks into normal throws. Advantages of this over tt? Is this just to get your opponent into thinking they can tech throw to set up for TT’s in the future or am I missing something?
