But they are exactly the same =/… whatever i dont care…
Shh! you’ve got to remain anonymous!
So many good entries! Can’t wait to see how this one ends.
Quiche, aren’t you DQ’ing yourself by putting your name all over that entry? I didn’t know that kind of thing was allowed.
I agree with this statement.
I checked the filesize on my av and i thought i was set with what i had.Had i gone into this knowing i wasn’t in the right filesize then w/e i wouldn’t have entered.
So Out of Order=my av
there i’m out. just redo the judging then.
EDIT:existence is my av as well
Yeah I know. I didn’t even think to check the filesizes until I started uploading them yesterday and saw the filsizes and was like uhhhhh…
Seriously though, I think all of the avatars present could easily be modified into something that fits in the sizes without changing them.
I mean the thing is, these avatars aren’t getting any benefit from being too big. “Out of Order” should still look the same at 49.8kb as it does at 50.1kb. “Millia” DOES look the same while shrunk. I mean, the thing is, it’s not like these avatars have an unfair advantage.
And as for turning away future entrants, I dunno. I’ve tried my damndest to attract as many people as I could with contants PM’s, advertising, upgraded prizes, extended deadlines, and whatever else I could think of, and the turnout is still pretty much the same as ABC’s 4 & 5. I mean, if I can’t do anything to attract more people, what makes you think I can drive them away? It seems like there’s a hardcore fan base that sticks with it. Besides, every one of these ABC’s has had me trying something new/different. Sometimes it works (see separate categories) and it sticks. Sometimes it fails (see polls and small judging panels) and it goes away.
I’m by no means an expert at how to run a competition, but I know that I’m not gonna back down from the way I’m doing things once I make that voting post. I have already mentioned that I’m not going to bend the rules again in future ABC’s, but as far as this one goes, all the entries I posted are legal.
…seriously.
EDIT: well fuck, worth threw away his anonymity, so he’s disqualified. I dunno whether to have the people who picked it rejudge or not…I’m leaning towards not.
This entire voting is FUCKACHUNKZ
Best execution of theme yet.
I was told that “Out of Order” would look the exact same inside the file-size limit. I don’t think that one should be DQ’d. However the ones that go over in space are a little suspect, thus, I didn’t vote for them.
As far as names on the avs…I dunno, I guess it’s funkachunkz. It’s quiche’s competition, if he wants the names to be legal, that’s his call. I’ll judge whatever.

…seriously.
Overall Quiche, you’ve done a great job…there is no way to be perfect at something like this, people are going to bitch…its unavoidable. I know I’ve complained a couple times about certain things but even though I’ve never really won, its still an enjoyable event. I look forward to it.
Don’t be discouraged, keep it up.
Um, you really don’t have a choice, do you?
I’m really not trying to be a dick here, but… making up rules that you’ll stick by in the voting post is totally bogus. If everyone had known that they could bend the 50k rule, I think some peoples’ entries would’ve looked different. The fact is, you said this in the original post, which every artist had a chance to see and abide by:
But that doesn’t bother me so much. I mean, the bending of the rules there is a little sketchy - but it’s like you said, all the entries that were over 50k could’ve easily been made under 50k. What really irks me, to be honest, is this:
Do you honestly think that’s fair? No one but you and OC decided to break that rule. After the original rules were posted (which would have DQ’ed your two entries), the “voting rules” were posted, which now allowed them in.
I’m not saying that you should be DQ’ed. Because it’s an avatar competition on a message board dedicated to fighting games… and no one should take something like that so personally. But the way that you and OC negated the rules was really Fuckachunkz (for real, though) and I just think that you should recognize that.
Yes you have won!
Yoshimitsu … ring a bell?
Um, you really don’t have a choice, do you?
[/quote]
Sure I do. I can just leave the points like they are, and the 6 points that “Out of Order” won just get thrown away.
…seriously.
I think you’re jumping the gun. My eye for avs and style tells me that your assumption is not correct. I believe I know who made the avs but I don’t believe it’s indicated ON the avs. I don’t want to go into more detail because of the anonymity rule, but once quiche gives the OK I’ll tell you why I think he allowed those avs.
Actually, I’ll pm him to see if I’m right.
out of order isnt over the size limit according to the rules.
But it isnt that serious. These battles should be mostly for fun, and thats the only reason I (and probably others) enter.
Quiche does a really good job with these abc’s and its dissapointing to always see people argue about nothing.
Oh yeah, but I think that one was 2nd or 3rd place…I meant overall.
ok, coo.
Yeah, but NO ONE knew.
lol, well, that’s part of fuckachunkz! I can’t say anything now, but I’ll say more about this once the voting is over. COUNT ON IT.
…seriously.
Check this post and then check your PM’s.
BTW, I think I win this battle. I have no av to enter but I guarantee with my love for BBW’s I fuck a chunkz more than the rest of you combined.
Well, I mean… It’s not like the thought didn’t occur to me, either. But putting someone else’s name on your entry is just as bunk as putting your own on there.
I don’t think anyone should get DQ’ed. Hell, I think that all the DQ’ed entries should be un-DQ’ed, especially UltraDavid’s, because he plays Q, and because it’s in the spirit of Fuckachunkz.
But keep in mind, in the future, that when there are prizes involved, or even if there aren’t and it’s just a public competition… you really need to post the final set of rules in the original post. Because otherwise, it’s completely unfair to everyone else.
That said…
Quiche, OC, you guys do a great job with this stuff. These competitions are a blast, and I can’t wait to compete in future comps. Mad mad props for offering prizes out of your own wallet. You guys are awesome.
Look, ch’mon man. I think it’s a given that Quiche does a really great job on these competitions and mad props for keeping them going. And props for everyone who enters and for everyone that puts in on the prizes, like OC.
But why shouldn’t I argue about what’s wrong? We could leave the critism to ourselves and then the ABCs will never improve and people will eventually just leave it altogether.
Hasn’t quiche said numerous times that these are to improve and he takes what works and what doesn’t in and out accordingly? Why should we leave the problems alone then?
I dare somebody else to try to come in here and get upset about me picking apart this competition, that was said by the creator to be an improving process of trial and error.
Most of you new comers to IMM never even seen the type of ripping apart and critism of stuff that me and MasterChibi used to do. Mostly everyone here now used to get all bent out of shape at the judging style MC uses, and now everyone enjoys it when he’s a judge.
I don’t care if the avs in this ABC X are easily modified to fit within the constraints of file size and dimensions or not. When somebody establishes objective rules such as those, they need to be followed. Especially in a contest where subjectivity plays a big part, you need basis for judging. If prizes weren’t on the line, AND if Quiche didn’t care about improving these ABCs then I wouldn’t even bother to post what I’m posting right now.
When things get going and credibility rises, you get more people involved. I mean, quiche look at one of the judges. Mystic_Bash, does he even come around here for these ABCs at all? I think that’s a good indication of new faces showing up due to these ABCs getting better because of improvement.
End of discussion.
It doesn’t matter if its serious or for fun. Follow the rules.
