Poor Sf3 cast.Even in a small space,the characters are detailed and articulate,and while it’s not DIRECTLY SFIV related its one of the more creative ideas in this contest in a whole and it made me laugh.

A stylish render of 3s ryu in the battle damaged alternate costume style.Very nice,the texture on the bg especially looks nice,blending very well with Ryu in the foreground.

Another sprite edit that caught my eye.Rufus really stands out,catching my eye and again proving that just because SFIV is 3d doesn’t mean you can’t have a slick sprite av.Very Cool

To paraphrase a great man,“When Street Fighter IV graced SRK it was the most important day of your life.For Capcom…It was Tuesday”,and while some were playing imported copies from overseas or ‘acquired’ it through other means the 17th of February,2009 will be remembered in America as the day Street Fighter IV finally graced our consoles. The avatar itself has excellent transitions and a seamless loop making it stand out as my handsdown favorite for animated.Well Done

While i haven’t played on a Vewlix myself.This avatar sports fluid animation and some incredible attention to detail as though i could reach through the monitor and play the avatar itself.I especially dig the blur on the balltop giving it a sort of Fist of Fury or Six Million Dollar Man effect. Rufus out on the road…A very cool sillhouette effect of Rufus on his hog against the desert sun.My only complaint is that the cacti really whiz by,but other than that its a simple,clean avatar that while it isn’t frame intensive gets it’s intent across.Cool Stuff.

If I were judge, these 2 above ^ would be my #1 for still and animated. Though I think the C.Viper one is ugly because they made Viper look ugly as shit in the manip
If the C.Viper one would’ve had “the gloves” on, brighter straight hair and no bruised up old ass chin/cheeks, and no ‘looks like richard simmons’, I would almost ask to use it since I main Viper. I’d like to see the original, but I’m scared it’s a dude, namely Richard Simmons.
The Akuma animated one is just mad clean cut, you can’t really go wrong with it, man. Cause it’s got solid defense, no need for mixups.
Personally, I’m VERY glad this one didn’t win. WTF yo. No offense to designer, but this looks mad incomplete and rushed, and dude used papyrus lol. WTF yo.

Iunno if another judge is a good idea. I think it makes more sense just to have all the sponsors pool what money they’re spending on prem. Then i’ll divide it up evenly across all the winners, with maybe a little extra for Unemployment Line since it was a clear win.

I can see why you would think this, I am dissapointed with the final result as well. I actually spent a great deal of time one in. Did all the main editing at full screen size, resized to 160 by 100, then made final edits to make certain things stand out (I did Ryo’s hair when it was small because I did’t feel it was clear enough who he was, redrew the eyebrows)
Then I had problem with the 48kb limitation of this sites avatars and what was happening when I rendered it as a Gif, First saved test version with 128 colors (animation kinda choppy, the attacks go by too fast) looked like this;
It took alot of time trying to find the best combination of what frames to remove, reducing the image size, and # of colors to get the Gif I submitted.
By the way. Ryo’s name and Portrait in the attack sequence in the top right is accurate as well.
Edit : Just tossed together and uploaded what was intended if dropping the frames and colors had not messed it up so much.
I’ll go ahead and reveal artists in 1st post.
