i know Sak isn’t a shoto, and the style is officially “Ansatsu-Ken” as per Capcom Japan. but i need some thoughts on what order the following characters stand in, by themselves:

XZV Ryu
XZV Ken
XZV Akuma
XVZ Sakura

here goes…

V-Akuma
V-Sakura
V-Ryu
V-Ken

Z-Ryu
Z-Sakura
X-Ryu
Z-Akuma

X-Ken
X-Sakura
Z-Ken
X-Akuma

i’m inclined to put V-Ken over Z-Ryu because of Ken’s range of VCs. the fireball barrage/confusion VCs have in my experience been very very useful for taking out a lot of chars, and i think Ryu’s slightly beneath that although he is very solid.

X-Akuma = Z-Akuma + 20% damage increase + CPS chains - supers - airblock - 20% vitality - demon flip. unlike X-Ryu he keeps his hopkick, but it won’t save his life. Z-Aku’s ok but he doesn’t have a c.FK xx 50% like Ryu.

X-Ryu is still very solid and packs a 50% damage c.FK once his meter’s charged. Z-Ryu has alpha counters, the hopkick, and level 1 shinkuus every 15 seconds. crouch cancel j.SP, tatsumaki redizzy.

Sak is a shoto man so is Dan . Gameplay wise ,maybe not story wise.

z-akuma is too low imo he’s a better fighter than z-ryu and z-ken combined ( normals and specials) and his supers r ok. It doesn’t matter if he has weak stamina because then v-akuma should be lower too

If you have (1) a fireball (2) a uppercut antiair (3) some forward special move your a shoto in my book (gameplay wise :wink: of course) .

ah yes… to be precise i completely forgot about V-Dan. yea i meant storywise they weren’t shotos :stuck_out_tongue:

why so high a placing on Z-Akuma? c.FK xx messatsu gou hadou is a bitch to buffer into on reaction.

Only thing I think is that Z Akuma should be below V Ken. :frowning: Just my opinion, though.

Personally, I prefer X-Sak to Z-Sak, simply because X-Sak can’t do the Sakura Otoshi by mistake. And the extra damage is also nice too.

V-Ryu is sooo annoying, those hadoken corner guardcrush VC’s are un-Alpha counterable unless your in A-ism at least, otherwise the AC will whiff.

X-Sak has some nice CPS chain stuff, iirc. crossup j.FK c.SK c.SK SK+FP xx FP.shouoken isn’t even teribly difficult.
