Okay Keits and I noticed some info about these two features. I figured I would post this thread so everyone sees it, and while we figure out more details. Eventually this will probably be closed and folded into some general mechanics thread. So here’s the things:
The damage dealt to the performer of a Megacrash seems to be percentage based. That is to say, a megacrash performed by roll or karas, lower vitality characters, deals less damage to those characters.
The bonus damage dealt by baroque, on the other hand, seems to be point based. Oddly enough, 10% baroque is not the same for all characters. My original thought was that a 10% baroque made the next hit in a combo do less damage than it would have had there been no baroque. The combo I used was just AxxBROQ, A. At a glance, I noticed the the damage loss for the the second A with ryu was negligible, around 42 points. With Yattaman, it was around 100 points or so. With Gold Lightan, the next A did 300 points MORE damage than it would have had it not been comboed. Crazy right?
Use this info wisely when estimating damage for your combos. Its helpful for high vitality, hard hitting chars like Alex and Daimaoh who will have short combos even with BROQ. This adds a little more value to crappy lightan and PTX. BROQ!!!
Yeah this really is good stuff. So bigger characters will get awesome bbq powers. I really figured since they give you a percent red life measurement in the training menu that it would be based on that. Thx tho.
word. good shit, and by the way, you can mega crash out of morrigans throw, so maybe people can start testing if you can just mega crash out of command throws period. ill test it to if i dont get lazy here in the next ten minutes
back from testing, and my post didnt go through becuase i didnt wait long enough between post, so im gonna continue my post because im being fancy. sooooooooo
YOU CAN MEGA CRASH OUT OF COMMAND THROWS AND NORMAL THROWS. ANY THROW CAN BE MEGA CRASHED. interesting
and with the opponents back to the corner, i did a mega crash with casshern, and i was able to combo off of it. like easy shit. i just did a medium, c medium, heavy, launcher, just for testing
Mega Crashing throws has been mentioned before. It won’t work against Super Throws though except for both of Yami’s. Usually though, most people will Tech Hit out of the throws though MC gives you a backup just in case.
Yea. It would be better to tech it, but if you fail to and you’re low on health, and the throw will probably kill you, it would be better to do so. But then again, it all depends on who is throwing you and how much damage you’ll take.
Mega Crashing combos is something I’m actually looking into because the only offensive purpose that’s worth anything is a secondary BBQ after you’ve used the first one. Other than that, its only worth a defensive option.
