I’ve turned truly obsessive compulsive this year by starting a collection of sorts. I’ve seen people collect for systems or regions etc etc and that all seemed like too much hard work and effort and then find space for. I do like people who look to collect for a particular game or franchise though and I’ve seen a great Mega Man collection recently for instance.
So I thought to myself I’d quite like to collect but I think it’s going to have to be for a game or series I really like and I’d get a lot of satisfaction from. So I’ve decided to go for a Street Fighter III collection but mostly for 3rd Strike.

I think the difference between a normal game collection and what I want is that I’m going for pretty much anything related or about 3rd/SFIII, so books and tournament DVDs for example and hopefully art too.

I’ve a limited budget so it’ll be slow going and there’s a lot of really obtainable stuff I’m glaringly missing, but since January 2009 when I made a realistic New Years Resolution for this collection, I’ve managed to get a lot of good stuff I thought would take years!

Behold, my Limited Edition version of Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike for the PS2 finally came! I bought if off a guy I used to play on LIVE back-in-the-day™ but doesn’t play it much anymore so he agreed to sell it on to me:tup: He also threw in the US Brady Games’ strategy guide for SFAC too. What a guy!

The largest of it’s contents is the Gamest Mook Guide No. 196, which is a recompiling of Gamest Mook Guides 184 and 194. (I’ve bought No. 184 off ebay in the past week :slight_smile: )
Its thick and contains so much detailed information (albeit in Japanese) along with and a whole host of random jazz, the pages are ram packed. Not all of it is in colour but the majority is. The paper quality is gorgeous too.

The last aspect of the Limited Edition package is a…puzzle! The guy hasn’t even opened it as the plastic wrapping is still intact! I think the image itself is a fan-art piece rather than anything from an official artist?

The guy also threw in the US Strategy Guide book which is what the above book is like but in English. It also covers Hyper Street Fighter II: Anniversary Edition along with 3rd Strike.

It’s a very useful guide and gives very detailed breakdowns on characters, their strengths, weaknesses, frame information for their moves, specials, supers, colour guide, general strategy, advanced tactics e.g. Charge Partitioning for Remy and Urien, best match up, worst match up and how to use them effectively. You couldn’t ask for more.

Where should i get the Babanpaku 2008 DVD?
I mean, it would be great to see all thouse monsters facing each other
on this unbeliveble tounament. Not mentioning that RX was there.
I really want to order it but unfortunil unfortunately the web its closed
or thats what i think and when it was open i didnt knew how to order

So, I went to the gas station the other day to get some condoms, and as soon as I enter I recognized Necro’s stage music… I thought it was probably an electronic song with that necro music being sampled but it wasn’t. Then as I was leaving, Dudley’s theme started. Ever since that day I want my 3rd Strike music CD.
