A New Spiral Thread. .

i haven’t seen an effective spiral/storm-c trap, but that’s just me.

spiral/sentinel I’d have to say is the best. spiral/tron can make a nice trap, too, but nothing beats long distance projectiles like sent-g.

if you insist on spiral/storm, i’d use capcom last. btw, cammy is damn good on point. her ground speed is just something else, and her mixups are too good. after KBA, if opponent rolls, dash back to where the opponent will rise and you get a free crossup attempt (use s. short or s. jab as they rise and 50% chance they will eat another KBA lol… no jumping out, no calling assists, no way out). too good.

thanx for the tip… i still use sentinel with spiral and mix up teams with her but that team was the team i was having difficulty workin an AAA out with… i kno all about cammy and on PS2 nobody stands a chance with her and spiral proj. still around jus on arcade im still struggling gettin the dashes and cannon drill XX KBA timing and motions down… shes still a gr8 assist jus wen the time comes on point i find myself much weaker then im used to playing her but ill definityl take cap commando in and try it out…

Is there any where i can see some old spiral videos with DUCVADER? Im having problems keeping the timing going i can get two good reps but after that they fly out what am i doing wrong?

i dont have n e videosbut i think its jus that you gettin a liltrigger happy wit the assist button and reloading to soon… u should jump up load swords.throw three goin down, when your on hte ground call senitnel at the same time jump bak up throw the other three on the way up and call swords once you launch the last three soit should look something like this

nj/\ load swords,lp,lp|/lp>sentinel,nj/\ lp,lp,lp,load swords again repeat…

is your asking about the ground versoin wit hp i think u jus all sentinel after the third one and rush in wit hp and throw the other three

I really would like some help against real good anakaris players. Seems Spiral has more problems with anakaris compared to storm. I can’t load swords or teleport with getting hit by a coffin or one of his legs. Also, even if i load swords it still doesn’t do jack because of the coffin drops and mummy wraps, that includes the expanding swords. On top of that, his launcher owns all of my aerial attacks and sends off massive damage with the connected super… and the lags on most of her moves is so curse prone. nearly impossible to go against Anakaris/Storm/Cyclops. Yes, I’ve used Spiral/Sent/Capcom, Spiral/Strider/Sent, and Duc… but nah, anakaris is one powerful character when used right.

I’ve been going on a deviant scrubby spiral lately, a spiral that i find a one hit killer. Spiral[y]/Ironman**/BBhood [a]… i know it sounds so newbieish/scrubby but it is one leathal team if you know what you are doing. Spiral can reach 3 meters fast as hell, so what i do is pressure my opponents, and at some time i would hit them with a clk, clk, A1+A2. The damage is insane… possibly capable of killing a Sentinel with around 90% life.

You shouldn’t be getting hit by coffin drops when you teleport - they don;t track, and you shouldn’t be teleporting often with spiral anyway.
secondly - why is Anakaris getting launchers on you?.. you don’t need to jump in on him - esp. if he has cycke as well

Maybe your being too obvious with your reloading - you should be using sj Hp alot and if you have commando AAA - sj quick drop + assist.

That you said spirals moves are curse prone means you should just stop using her.

u must be doin something really wrong if ur having troubles against anakaris wit spiral… u can easily out-teleport almost n e thing he does if u teleport to rite spot… if u kno all of the spots she can pop up from u can out maneuver anakaris’s moves and get in on him… if he tries to coffin drop u jus teleport to directly behind him not above him in n e way and ull own him for free. and if the lag is curse prone then i dont kno wat to tell you…

someone once said that duc does a glitch with spiral to get her swords to load faster. in his vids, it does look like they come out abnormally fast. does anyone know of a glitch?

Never heard of it - Duc doesn’t post but I geuss you could PM him.
Reloading with Lp instead of Hp seems to have better recovery.

I always reload with LP instead of HP because if you try to reload and mess up - having a fast recovering jab attack is much better than having a long recovering HP move where it is possible they can hit you one way or the other ( If you think they will hit your move just teleport ). Another reason why I don’t use HP to reload is because for some people we like to use more than one finger for button pushes. Reloading with HP and sometimes accidentally hitting LP to throw knives might cause you to do the morph super which is a waste of 3 meters. Here’s a question - why reload with a different button when you can reload with the same button that is used to throw knives?

IMO, Spiral will be experiencing a hard time against an experienced Anak user, but that still depends on Spiral’s team and the players’ skill. If we are assuming 100% skill on both sides, its hard to determine whos’ owned and whos’ not.

did u visit us here in the islands? we were kinda expecting you. We should have a match, Anakaris vs Spiral… :rofl:

after L3 lands on your opponent, often your opponent gets pushed into the corner while you’re in a force-dash(flying screen). What do you guys do most?

  • When I have no swords (after the COS combo into L3), a simple j. fierce + assist stops just about everything an opponent can do. Be ready to teleport just in case, but I find that 99% of the time, j. fierce can’t be stopped (works especially well against Sentinel).

  • When I have swords (more rare, but it happens… most notably after Sentinel does HSF, I teleport behind, and activate L3), you can jam on lp to throw the swords out and they come out in a nice, scary pattern you can’t get unless you have Flying Screen. Not sure if there’s much use for it though, besides free block damage. I think it basically looks like 2 sets of stairs right next to each other.
