A funny thought. In two years, we can have a REAL Street Fighter 2010

For those of you who do not know, this is the game:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/nes/home/563462.html

Ironically, 2010 will be the game’s 20th anniversary. Capcom should probably make a real Street Fighter fighting game KOF style i.e. having all the characters from the 2D games in one.

What do you think?

fart

That would be pretty cool. It would probably have some balancing issues though.

Such a gamefaqs worthy topic.

That’s actually an interesting thought…

2 years until the worlds goes to spit, and cyber-criminals take over the galaxy.

You have no chance to survive. Make your time.

Remake for Xbox Live, Capcom. Make it happen.

Ah yes, the main character is Ken with implants right?

Actually it’s not worthy, even over there.

No. The future is now.

I thought Ken 2010 would have been a good final boss for CFJ.

more like SvC 2010

Fight for the Universe

ah the old skool nes memories

Not really, Ookami-kun. That’s just what Capcom USA says. They changed the story and the main character’s name from Kevin Striker to Ken in some halfassed attempt to get people to buy a good nes game in a time when people were buying the hell out of Capcom nes games. (they do a lot of changing stuff from the original version, so that just goes to show how much you can trust THEM). That shit was totally unneccessary. SF 2010 actually has jack-squat to do with the Street Fighter franchise. Great soundtrack, though.

So what was its original name then?

It was still named “Street Fighter 2010” in Japan.

What 1 year after console release yeah?

Its really only one year and a month away. Wow… pretty soon.

Shit, my fucking leg is asleep and I don’t know how it happened

‘ohhhh eliza rescuuuuuee meeeeee’

The game was called “2010: Street Fighter” in Japan, and yeah. despite the name did not have anything to do with the then-dormant SF franchise. There was the whole Final Fight originally being titled as “Street Fighter '89” thing but that never worked out. SFII was most likely well into development when 2010 came out for NES.

That aside, the game was quite underrated yet DIFFICULT, and yes it did have an awesome soundtrack.
