My name is Ian “E-Dawg” Donmoyer. I am an artist, a Marvel/3rd Strike/VF5FS player, and until March of last year, I was a dad.
Over a year ago, I lost my son James to a Congenital Heart Defect when he was only three months old. You can read more about James and what we’re doing here:

After a lot of pain and wondering what to do next, I decided to organize a charity event I call THE ART OF FIGHTING. It’s going to take place in Albuquerque, New Mexico starting Friday, September 27th. That evening, we will open a gallery art show at Metropolis Comic Art Gallery, featuring original art inspired by Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom, Mortal Kombat, King of Fighters, and more.
Then, on Saturday, September 28th, Metropolis Comic Art Gallery and NM-ISM (the Albuquerque FGC) will host a tournament featuring SSF4AE v.2012, Marvel, Tekken Tag 2, and Injustice. We will have tons of prizes and giveaways, including items provided by Capcom USA, Brokentier, Mr. Seth Killian himself, and Sega of America, who have sent us a VF5FS t-shirt signed by Fuudo and Chibita, as well as a one-of-a-kind VF5FS Mad Catz EVO 2012 FightStick Pro!! Plus, a high-stakes VF5FS exhibition featuring two of New Mexico’s finest!
We will be streaming live on Saturday, September 28th, 2:00 PM MST, at: http://twitch.tv/nmism A donation link will be featured during the stream.
All proceeds from THE ART OF FIGHTING benefit two charities - the Save Babies Through Screening Foundation and the March of Dimes New Mexico Chapter - who are fighting to save children’s lives and spread awareness about Congenital Heart Defects - the most common birth defect and the reason my son is no longer alive. We will raise funds through the sale of our original artwork, tournament entries, raffle items, donations collected at the show, and the donation link during the stream.
