It started with the sudden popular song of Mariya Takeuchi, Plastic Love…right? I think many people misses the old pop music that’s why it became popular. When I keep listening to it, I can see some elements from popular bands and female singers like The Jets and Yvonne Elliman.
It’s addicting and now I have a bunch of playlist about it. It includes Miki Matsubara’s Stay with me, Tatsuro Yamashita’s Daydream… I like how they sound especially when singing, so nostalgic to that era.
