808 Hawaii SSFIV

No, it’s not…

yeah!

dont even trip, he fucks everybody up with ibuki lol … and yes there are way too many guile and bison whores online now… :wtf:

for me there is a rising population of sakura, makoto, ibuki and cody.

In fact all I see now are great ibuki players wth the exception of 1 or 2 noobs who just jump back kunai all day.

oh yeah UH tuition is seriously killing me too, taking loans suck…

So my former assistant produce managers stops by the store, hands me a small kinkos bag about 8x10. I open it up and it’s a front and back autographed picture of Charmane Star signed “Happy Boy’s Day”. The dude is the coolest 40 year old Chinese man I’ve ever met.

In SF related news, Jamgief uses Balrog’s Ultra 2.

Throwdown: you happen to have a PS3? I want to play with you online.
Honestly, i am trying to main ibuki and having a hard time to get in.
I wanna see what other people could’ve done differently.

@Nigel: Nah I don’t have a PS3 unfortunately. Getting in with Ibuki is pretty hard you’re right. I kind of just have to turtle for a little until I can capitalize on a mistake or something. Maybe I’ll try uploading a replay to YouTube?

yeah
youtube will do

bison’s new ultra is fucking me up. i seriously have no idea how it really connects. it once caught me at the arch of my super jump with viper. and cross’ me up most of the time. it’s like it hits me like viper’s seismo shit. gotta say tho, it’s the most badass new ultra in the game.

and i just found out that balrog’s new ultra gives stun too. is his ultra the only one that does that?

Dammit Gavin. I didn’t know who that was so I looked it up. At work. Good thing nobody else was in my office at the time.

It’s really my fault though. With a name like Charmane Star, what else should I have expected?

Awesome former coworker.

Yeah, standing jab after tsumiji is pretty gross. Another thing I like about Ibuki is that she has link combos, target combos, and link into target combos.

@Vaughn: Maybe I should have put a NSFW disclaimer haha.

F my internet.
Sorry guys :frowning:

Nice Ibuki Throwdown.

Hey guys, I’m visiting in Honolulu, and wondering if the kind Hawaiian SSFIV players can please answer 2 questions:

  1. Do SFIV/SSFIV machines still exist here?

http://www.eventhubs.com/articles/2008/aug/15/street-fighter-4-arcade-machine-tracker/

a) Hawaiian Brian’s Billiards
1680 Kapiolani Boulevard, 2nd floor
Honolulu, Hawaii, 96814
.50 cents per play, 42" HDTVs, 360 sticks, comp buttons
Google Map

b) Fun Warehouse Arcade at the Ala Moana Center
1450 Ala Moana Boulevard
Honolulu, Hawaii 96814
(808) 955-9517
Google Map

  1. If 1. a) & 2. b) exist, what’s their hours/busiest times? I’m looking to get “Daigo’d” by locals!
    thank you in advance!

Wow no clue he recorded our match! Thanks for finding it.

Gavin’s so pro with Ibuki already lol.

On a side note, online is starting to piss me off. I cant link my jab x short x ex GH combo anymore. I’m getting nub srk mashed outta it lol. Time to just bait the srk already

As far as I know none of the arcades have SSF4 yet. The locations you mentioned were places that the community went to, with Fun Warehouse being the most popular place, but since the release of SSF4 I don’t think any of us go to the arcade anymore. Now with that said, I’m sure that if you tell us when you’ll be coming down, most of us wouldn’t mind going to Fun Warehouse and getting some games in with you or maybe someone can host a SSF4 session.

those places are good bets for some comp but most of us either play at someones house or online mostly now trying to learn SSF4, but either friday or saturday night at Fun Works (not fun warehouse eventho its listed as that) should be a good bet since alot of people switched from brians, but they are across the street from each other so no biggie…

I thought HBB was the place to go?

I always find good comp there and its cheaper, plus I also get to play Blazblue or other arcade games.
While Funworks only got sf4 and t6.

dunno why that has changed or is that just opinion? Did ala moana change there sticks, buttons or prices?
