Alright another day in the works for a ranbat session. Placings are as follows:
1st: Honzo
2nd: KBeast
3rd: tharimrattler
4th: Spanish Sexy & Tyram
5th: Shway
6th: Hagure
7th: Paniolo & Hellasaltydawg
We need to establish some kind of consistency in this league or it becomes “politicbat” or “getpointsonlywhenifeellikeitbat”.
“ranbat” = ranking battle. Ranking players based on points earned over the course of a “season”, or several consecutive tournaments. When this is compromised, it no longer holds the integrity of being a ranbat.
Since the start if these ranbats, every ramnation tournament has yielded ranbat points. I missed one or two Tournaments and as a result naturally did not get points. This is okay because a ranbat is not about WHO shows up after all. And I STILL managed to win those seasons without even entering every event. This is the nature of a ranbat. The players were ranked accurately based on points. When points aren’t awarded becaue of political issues this becomes a problem.
However, this week to my surprise, the ranbat did not take place due to “Kevin not being here” among other excuses.
Now I’m already 2 weeks invested in this “ranbat” so I’m ging to finish it up but I won’t be entering next time unless there is more consistency and structure.
As it stands this season cannot even be called a ranbat due to the circumstances. It would be more accurate calling it “onlygetpointswhenkevinisherebat” or “Popularitybat”.
What I do know is this.

Kevin isn’t in charge of “this season” due to school/finals.so it is not fare to blame him so let’s keep our cool please.

Shway is doing “this season” ranbat so please take up any problem with “this season” with him.

That’s the point. If Kevin was the organizer and didn’t show up, it would be easy to understand why it did not take place.
However, the organizer was there and simply choose not to run it for his own reasons. This is not fair to the people who showed up and already have their money in the pot, and under the guise of “ranbat” certain standards are expected to be honored.

So here is what I will do to fix this.
I will give Shway $20 of mine to add to the ranbat money to make up for Friday.
Shway please give out points after I get home tonight and post up the full tourney results.
Tyram always looking out for the integrity of ramnation and everything involved. That’s a great gesture, but I would like to see more consistency for the remainder of this ranbat season.

Looks like I’m temporarily taking over ranbats. Schway won’t be there this week and tyram is putting in the money to make last weeks ranbat right (kudos to ram). He’s putting in 20 so that covers 10 ranbat entries. that covers the 7 people in the current ranbat that were at the most recent ramnation tournament, after that I believe it’s fair to enter 3 other regulars that have participated in past ranbats. Based on that here is what I came up with.
5/20 ramnation ranbat results.
1st - tharimrattler - 10pts
2nd - tyram - 7pts
3rd - hagure - 5pts
4th - raikanami and tech master - 3pts each
5th - schway - 2pts
6th - soulstar - 1pt
7th - Rudy -1pt

$20.00 in the pot from this ranbat.

Payouts are as follows:
1st - $43.40 - tharimrattler
2nd - $12.40 - honzogonzo
3rd - $6.20 - kbeast/spanishsexy tie
Kbeast and spanishsexy tied for third, therefor they will play for
third place money.
Since I already have $28 from last 2 ranbats, I just need the
remaining $15.40 to complete the payout. Also, pay out to 2nd an 3rd
accordingly.
Schway:
Please bring ranbat money this Friday to complete the season. $15.40
shall be awarded to me, $12.40 to honzogonzo, and $6.20 to the winner
of kbeast vs spanishsexy.

yeah, my bad the other week. Life was kinda stressful, I had decided to run KoF that week and I didn’t want to over load myself that night but in retrospect yeah, I shoulda just collected money.
I got you back for that $20 ram, it was my call so it should be my pockets. I’m prolly not gunna be able to make it tonight but I should be able to slide the cash to jay to bring up.
tyram has the $34, forgot to hand it over before tharimrattler left.
I’m not completely sure if everything was settled with the last RAMbat but I’m back and ready to run it again! For this season I’m going to make this one last up until the week before evo, and it should be exclusive to Ramnation regulars. I wish I couldve started this one earlier but my schedule didnt really allow me to concentrate on ramnation, we could’ve had a bigger pot 
but da well. So get ready 707!
