Yeah, I think that’s why everyone that knows anything about the game just talks on AIM or something. It’s like impossible to help some people…This thread should have been locked after the first post.

I am by no means any good at chess yet(just learning recently)

Consider the game at a basic level, chess is designed for extremely strict positioning from the first to the last move of the game . Creating a formation will open up the core of the game allowing you to control more space. Thats a decent mold for a marvel comparison if you’re completely forgetting that pawns can’t randomly cross-up and fly through rooks.

marvel has a decent engine until you fuck with positional glitches. Forcing the game to react to hitboxes and turnaround frames combined with autoguard+twitch guard will flat out fuck it up. I seriously can’t see how chess and marvel tie in together, one game has perfect form, the other breaks down when you put all the pieces of gameplay together.

have you ever dhc’ed at the same time as their opponent(double portrait screen freeze) and then watched as the game doesn’t bother to follow through with your next super? what kind of fucked up deal is that?

Marvel is unlike any other game

i knew i shudn’t have complemented somebody i like personally xD im biased, geebus

I definitely agree with you 100%. There are a TON of unused undiscovered crazy tactics out there. Take that Chunli video for example (by Shin-Chan) that was released just a few months ago. It’s been years since the game’s release and just now, someone has figured out chun li and her true / amazingly / shocking potential. Yeah, it was definitely something that shocked the marvel community, haha. It definitely bumped chunli up a tier. From low tier to mid. Although the learning curve is BIG and requires a lot of skill/timing/execution, it still makes her up a tier.

If you don’t mind, could you explain each one detailedly and give examples? Cause I don’t understand a few
