Wasn’t sure where to toss this and I’ve already looked in the Tech Talk/Image Mishmash. I’m trying to work on a Dan Template for my arcade stick, and was wondering you guys had any high res Dan art these other websites somehow manage to not have. Thanks in advance.
Um I don’t have any real big pictures but I can share what I got.
So who is gonna rep Dan at their local Super pre or post release tournament? I am, ironically its close by.
I’ll be repping Dan at every NM event I can get to, problem is my work schedule.
Although I get the feeling tonight I’ll be spending most of my evening seeing if Hakan is ‘as Saikyo’ as Hibiki-sensei.
… i need a alt, and if they can’t piss people off as much as strutting my Saikyo stuff does… THEN WHAT’S THE POINT OF PLAYING ANYONE OTHER THAN DAN?!
There is no point of playing anyone other than Dan.

Back from the tournament, got to play some casuals before the actual tournament which helped a lot with nervousness. Won my first match against a Balrog. I technically shouldn't have won. He botched his ultra at one point which would've won him the match. (He made it to 3rd to last round in losers afterwords i think) 2nd Match was close against a Chun, but i lost because i didn't connect Ultra after crouching medium kick super taunt, ;_;. 3rd match i got absolutely bodied by another Balrog.
I’m pretty sure this seals the last nail in the coffin for me maining Dan. I love the character, i absolutely do. Unless his normals get buffed/his new Ultra makes that much of a difference it looks like its all aboard the Cody Train for me. It’s a Ryu thing to say, but I’m just not good enough to play as Dan, a character with many faults at a high level of play.
There’s nothing wrong with admitting that. Dan is pretty bad. Anyone who legitimately uses Dan will probably admit that. I personally don’t use him at all in tournaments simply because the only thing he has going for him is lk danku strings, and basically every character has an answer to punish those.

Haoh Gadoken is amazing.
In the midnight tourney, I stomped a Dudley player first match. Then he took the second match with Bison. Then in the third match, he won again with Bison. It was close, we both took rounds, but I panicked. He was a good Bison, he probably wasn’t comfortable with Dudley yet. I did get some applause after my display of showmanship.

It is, without hyperbole, the greatest super Dan has ever had in the history of his existence. I love it. Just being able to put FADC fear into opponents makes me want to crouch down and shed a stream of tears like the man himself. And I know less meter-intensive methods of working it in a combo are coming.
also, LOLOLOLOLOLOL @ Dan being able to do chip damage from crouching taunt. This is DELICIOUS!!
Nope Ultra 1 is still godly and goes right through a lot of attacks. I like it better than Haoh Gadoken so far.
I’ve only gone up against one Dan, and he wasn’t very good :tdown: Come on guys, where are you?!
