sigh Had a pretty rough night. They should just give Ryu a gun in Super Street Fighter 4 and save people the trouble of playing it.
Eh, that’s not fair. Ryu’s not my only problem. But, I must admit, it’s getting harder and harder to resist going back to Zangief.
Boring turtles again? Take my advice and don’t play their game, it’s hard and rather dull just dodging fireballs all day and even if they still scrape out a win at least you’d have bored them in the process as well 
It’s much easier for me dealing with these turtles with Sakura rather than Dan. Her c.HP so much easier than trying to whack out a quick Kouryuken, practically full screen fireballs to cancel his with little to no risk of punching them in the process and EX Otoshi to close distance.
With Dan, the trick to not getting spaced is being unpredictable and dashing, jumping, and dankuing all over the place. If they are calm and resolved, it becomes a very hard match. If you can get them to second-guess themselves, you can get away with a lot of things. Don’t let on to the fact that you desperately want to get in. Fight fireball wars with Gadouken, focus fireballs, lk knee neutral jump over fireballs for meter, throw out random EX Dankus, poke with s.mk, and cover distance with mk/hk Danku.
Watch Sanford playing Dan. He is anything but methodical at far range. He does things that really don’t benefit him (like backdashing at mid range) just to throw his opponent’s spacing off.

Fault on both our fronts. I knew you were jesting, I was just pointing out the fickleness of GFWL profiles being tied directly to your copy of Windows. 
Even though it gives me my SFIV fix, I really REALLY hate GFWL. :\

I always thought he said “urayamashii” which means he’s jealous…you know, of bang. Damashi though would just be noun form of damasu, meaning a trick. Either that or damashii, which is a soul.

I bought my copy on Steam, so I do have Steam and GFWL.
The Steam UI is actually useful, as it’s not designed for consoles and I can actually text chat when playing ingame with friends (It’s way better than GFWL’s lame-ass VOIP). Not to mention browse the internet while I wait for a Championship mode final.
Steam just gets in the way, why can’t I just play my game without having to go through Steam? D:
Steam also stopped me from playing DoW2 a day early, bastards!

I decided to play Arcade Mode all the way through since I hadn’t done in a while and I gotta say the cutscene with Sakura and their “trash talk” during the fight practically had me in stitches XD Forgotten just how funny Dan is :tup:
Both Dan and Sakura are set to Japanese for me Made sure to win with Super and Ultra to hear his unique winning quotes :tup:
What does he say differently in Japanese than in the English dub? Just curious, though I like Ted Sroka as Dan. Where’d you learn Japanese too? I got a for Dummies book is all.

I think it’s more or less the same, I can only really understand simple phrases and stuff, it’s just the way he says it that has me in stitches The poor translations are his generic quotes; “Hope you’re ready for a beating.” and the regular Super and Ultra phrases.
I’ve got Pimspleur’s Speak and Understand Essential Japanese, I also pickup a fair amount from the huge amounts of anime I watch and ask the occasional question at a Japanese forum 
I was thinking the exact same thing. We don’t need a long cutscene intro but maybe having a quick unique one for rivals would be cool. And the in match banter between characters is awesome, should totally add it.
So I’m sure all of you have seen the videos of Sanford beating up on Mariodood with Dan. Well I’ll be damned if two days ago I didn’t find him in G1 on XBL… so I HAD to use Dan. He used Akuma and it just wasn’t enough for my Saikyo Power and I took the match 2-0. Not a G1 final match so no replay, but I couldn’t help but share.
I lol’d, it was great.
I see all these tourney videos and Mariodood is always getting burned. Is he himself the Dan of tourneys?
