Ideally with team tournaments 3 strong players should be a much better team than 1 god and 2 weak players, if it doesn’t work like that then it’s glorified singles anyways. For the games that are going to be running team tournaments, are there also going to be singles? Cuase I don’t have a team for DR and with that whole “one person can play upto 3 games” rule it makes it kinda hard to do a “Team” Me.

There’ll be teams and singles for just about any game people care about. Who knows…maybe even Melty Blood teams. Everything is gonna be run Evo style which means everything except Accent Core will be run as singles first. Then teams afterwards. Accent Core will probably have a side singles tourney later on since that is a team game at Evo.
Cuz they are. No really it’s because it’s the one game that isn’t available in the US so Evo staff figure they save money on equipment (since obviously they can’t use modded equipment). Everything must be official Japanese.
Just like every other tourney…the team format will be settled when people get there.

Will have a 20$ buy in poker tournament. Likely to have 1 hour of 1 add-on/rebuy. Likely to start between 10pm and 12am.

Sorry to keep bugging but do you know what time tekken will start? There are a few NY players coming for this and they’d like to know the time so they can plan their trip.

Tournament starts at 1pm sharp. Most games will be run one at a time on multiple systems (at least 8-10) until it gets down to the final 8 matches. Then they will be transferred to the “event” tv’s, which have projectors as well.
Tekken and Guilty Gear will be exempt, due to the nature of system procurement for those games. If I can get 4 Guilty Gear capable PS2’s for use for the whole day, it won’t be a problem. Those will start as soon as brackets are made after 1pm.
