About *69 gArcade: The *69 gArcade is a garage arcade located in Round Rock, TX (aka. N. Austin). We’ve been open for a year. The gArcade is completely non-profit and was built in order to provide another place for folks in N. Austin and Round Rock to get together to sharpen their fighting games skills and have a good time. We have 5 Kraylix arcade cabinets and 2 BYOC setups along with a bunch of retro gaming hardware on CRTs and PVMs. You can find out more about us on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/s69garcade/) and Twitter (https://twitter.com/s69gArcade).

All cabinets have all-Sanwa sticks and buttons. There are available USB ports to plug in your own Fightsticks.
The head-to-head cabinets have webcams and all matches on this setup will be streamed at http://twitch.tv/s69gArcade.
The tournament will consist of a Group Round Robin Stage and a Double Elimination Bracket Stage. You can show up late for the Round Robin stage so long as you have enough time left to get all your Round Robin matches in before the deadline.
How The Tourney Works: Everyone plays in the Round Robin Stage. You will be placed in group with a bunch of your fellow entrants. How big your group is will depend on the total number of entrants. This phase is lengthy. You will play everyone in your group twice and only twice. (Not 2 out of 3 games, but just 2 games.) You will earn 2, 1 or 0 points for every match. Once all the entrants have played their RR stage matches, we take the Top 8 points-getters and put them into a standard Double Elimination Tournament. Their seeds will be based on their RR Stage points. This format is 1) Long and 2) Gets you lots and lots of games against lots of people. This is ideal if you want to get a lot of experience in and is far better than a possible “2 games and you’re done” at a standard tournament if you get a “bad bracket”.
