Bertuzzi ISN’T the heart and soul of the team, but if you watched last year’s play offs, Bertuzzi was KEY in the victory over St. Louis. If the Season were to end today, we’d play Dallas. What power foward do we have against Dallas ? Nobody. Even if the Canucks get Jovo back, Naslund will be the ONLY game breaker for the canucks. We’re peaced out in the first round… Lucky if we make it to 7.
Bertuzzi has also been a big drag this season. I’d say he took like half of his penalties when the Canucks were on the powerplay. Not all of it was his fault. He’s a marked man as far as the refs are concerned. He breathes on someone and they go down.
Anyone catch the Bertuzzi press conference today? I’ve never seen him like that.
