6-pin lever in a 5-pin board

So, I have a Madcatz WWE Brawlstic and was happy with it until I realised that the lever is kinda crap, so I bought a new one from a new brazilian brand named 2nd Impact. But the problem is, the lever lever that I bought uses a 6-pin harness (english is not my native language so I dont know if this is the right word) and the lever that comes with the Brawlstick uses a 5-pin one. I’m new to modding, so I don’t even know if I can use it that way, can I? And if I can, how do I install it?

welcome to srk!
i moved your thread into the tech talk section.

You may have to solder, but i don’t know your new Stick pinout :frowning: Maybe it needs VCC so depending on your Brawlstick model (if it’s PS3 or 360) you could get VCC easy or not.

So first try getting the pinout for the 6 pin connector and we can help from there

Saludos!

Nevermind.

My stick is the 360 version. I don’t know if this helps, but this is the board of my new lever.

Most levers that require a VCC input need power for optical sensors. This stick clearly has switches. In fact I don’t see any part on that pcb that would require an external power source. I also don’t see any traces on the pcb that lead to the 6th pin. You may not need to hook that pin up to anything.

Thanks for the help, guys. I managed to connect it by attaching the loose ends of the wires in the cable that already comes with the stick (completely ignored the last wire).
