Just got home… Dont even know where to start and I am sure I am going to forget people. Let me apologize for that now.

First I have to thank art and Ian for coming along with me on this. We did our best man nothing to be ashamed of. We didn’t win but we gained the respect of a coast which is just as important. I am sure Ian got some good footage

Gootecks/mike ross. Thanks you guys for the arrangements and rides around cali. big ups to Mike Boss for getting us from LAX. Mike probably played the most memorable match of the tourny. Ryan and slasher did a good job with the stream. Respect to you guys for holding that down.

combo/valle. It was a pleasure meeting alex for the first time. Really cool dude. Super down to earth. Had some good matches as well. Much respect for this man for everything. Combo, slow down with that viper please. Give the EC heads a chance to catch up please! Always a pleasure pete.

Ricky/choi/chen/bucktooth. First time meeting you guys also. Didn’t interact with you guys very much but the brief moments were a pleasure. Extreme amount of respect for these gentleman

Chillen with you guys at denjin really made my trip a worthy one. Thats real talk! From playing alpha 2 after hours to being part of the elite denjin crew! Had good 3s matches with vinny ryan and pherai, ate some del taco, watch ryan throw shit at kais face, beebop ready to stomp fools out in the parking lot, spitting EC knowledge to ghostal, chillen out with matt and jaha. Good times! You guys really were a cool ass group of heads. I am on the wrong coast… Gonna work on that though. Someone find me a job in socal please!

fuson/keno/ken i/ed ma. Was a pleasure meeting and playing with some of you. Congrats on 2nd ed and ken. Keno, that rog reaction is too serious! fuson we played a few at AI, good casual matches. I wish I got to play ed and ken but it was a long busy night for everyone. We will get games at evo I’m sure

Ruin and the vegas heads. Always cool chillen with you dude. Vegas, we are in there my dude!!! I forgot the names of your friends you were with (the girl and the 2 guys I think) but they were also a mad chill. Ill catch up with you guys at evo!

I am sure I missed someone somewhere please forgive me. The trip was definitely a memorable one. Met good people, had great times, played serious matches. Cant ask for much else!

Thanks to everyone that enjoyed the stream, we hope we did a good job for you guys. I wanted to give the fighting game community a great event to watch, and the amount of people staying on a laggy as hell stream for 15 hours straight was remarkable. I’m not the most knowledgeable in sf4 (for now) so I hope that wasn’t too bad. everyone give big props to shane from ufragtv for using all his equipment, as well as editing and producing all the footage, including the live broadcast. There will be a similar live broadcast at the Devastation event, more info soon on that.

The entire event is being re-broadcasted right now at http://ufragtv.com/show/tappedout-live. It’s being re-broadcasted so it can be captured and then put in VOD as HD, which will probably take another day or so.

I was at home watching this stream and I was hype the whole time. I really fucking wish I sold drugs or something to book that last minute flight. I was fighting temptation SO hard. One day I’ll make it to Denjin. ONE day. Hopefully next year.

Congrats to Valle and Peter. I wanted Art and Joe to take it for the bragging rights and all the drama that comes with it. Sadly, that was not meant to be as Peter seemed to have tapped into this crazy inner potential that went beyond beastness.

Need to test Peter for steroids. =p

But all in all, good shit to Ryan for giving us the stream and allowing for those of us that could not make it to enjoy such a hype and quality event.

Holy cowwwww, that last match was intense. I’m watching them at work and it made me lol in a quiet computer lab. Combo’s C.Viper is amazing and Sextaro’s Rufus inspired me to pick him up for an alternate character. JESUS!

Great event. Grand finals were legendary. Congrats to the Fiend and Calipower on the victory. It was well deserved. Ed and Ken put up a great fight and they also would have been great representatives at SBO. Its a shame only one team can go.

GGs to everyone we played. Good shit to team EC for taking out me and Watts. Dhalsim is clearly our biggest weakness. Art woke us up. Hopefully, we’ll be ready next time…

Man… I watched the EC stream and now this stream in Denjin. This shit was unreal, you could feel the intensity through the damn internet

Thank you to all of the players for putting all your shit on the line.

Few things:

Norcal loves Joe (and of course by Norcal, I mean the 15 dudes I had stacked in my room, a small apartment hooked up the stream to my 42’ HDTV)

Mike Ross for having the Rocky-esque comeback me and all the dudes started singing the damn rocky theme

Ed Ma being as hype as I have ever seen him…good shit man.

Shogo/Bagrat: Once again, you guys housed a spectacular event. I think it?s really awesome that two of the most chill dudes in existence, also own one of the best arcades in existence. Thanks for everything.

Gootecks/Slasher/Scott/Glenn/and everyone else who helped with putting the show together: The event wouldn?t have been the same without you. Thank you for your tireless efforts to move street fighter in the right direction.

Dae/Bean/Pherai: Thank you for running the brackets. You guys are always busting your asses to make sure things go smoothly. Thank you for everything.

Combofiend/Valle: Although I was rooting for ?KenMa? I couldn?t help but cheer seeing the sheer emotion and gameplay from you two; seeing Valle get hype is probably something I?ll never forget. You guys really put on a great show. Good luck in Japan.

Ed/Ken: Nothing to be ashamed of, it really could have gone either way. Watching your performance made me sad that we didn?t have more qual spots to hand out. You?re both incredible players.

Ricky/Rom/Jimmy: You guys are beasts. It was funny to watch Ricky show Kai the meaning of footsies and that spazzing back and forth (fishing) is sooooooo 2000 and late. Shooting the shit and getting lunch the next day was awesome. Good luck in Japan, gentlemen.

Yi/Ken/Kai: You played your hearts out. Don?t look back on this with any regrets. Yi, I?ve told you this before and I?m gonna tell you again: There is NO socal 3s scene without you. BUT, whatever decisions you make from here on out will be completely understandable, and you have the support of everyone in the community. Thank you for making 3s quals not only exciting, but possible. :wink:
