408 SSF4 casuals. update: $2 pre-Super NCR tourney. Saturday, 5/22

Hello everybody,

I recently moved into a new apartment by myself and wanted to get some SSF4 casuals going (since I’m too broke to afford a car to go to other casuals). The apartment’s a bit less than 2 miles to the east from SJSU. If anyone ever wants to play, send me a IM/PM/leave a post/whatever, and I’ll be totally down.
I have a xbox360, a TE, and a SE with sanwa parts. I have 3 fairly ghetto TV’s (no input lag w0ot), so it would be cool if anyone could bring another copy of ssf4 or console/sticks.
The apartment itself is a pretty small studio, but should be plenty spacious enough for some street fighter.

I can host pretty much any day of the week starting from 6pm until whenever. Please come, play matches, talk strategy, chill, and level up at ssf4.

I was thinking of running a small SSF4 tournament on Saturday, May 22nd mainly for the purpose of creating an opportunity for people to prep for Super NCR that’ll be going down in a week.

Rules:
-Entry fee will be $2, 100% goes to the pot. 70/20/10 payout. Results will be posted.
-Double Elimination bracket
-Grand finals will be 3/5 games; for everything else 2/3 rounds, 2/3 games.
-After a game: loser is OK to switch character, winner cannot (buy may switch ultra).
-BYOC
-and for any other discrepancies, the rules will basically imitate those of super NCR’s.

Doors open at 5pm for casuals; Tournament starts at 7pm.

If enough people are down for a super NCR warmup tourney, I’ll host it.
I’ll need to know how many are attending so that I can prevent over-crowding on the off-chance that that becomes an issue.

Sounds cool bro…I live in south San Jose and I am interested in picking up SSF4 using Deejay and Guile…I am a SF2 (including HDR) player but would like to play SSF4 casual to gain experience with out having to travel out of town…I don’t own an xbox, but I have an ex hori 2 stick that I use for ggpo when i had my computer…

Please provide me more info bro by pm or post

Sweet.
For now I’m still moving in stuff and setting up some essentials like electricity and internet.
I’ll get that finished up in a day or two and then send out info. If anyone else wants to drop by pleaase leave a post; need more offline match-up experience lol.

count me in. i dont have a xbox but i do have a ps3 set up. so if anything ill bring it if you need a extra set up.

This might be a bit sudden, but I was wondering if anyone wants to get in some games on Friday starting at around 7pm till whenever? If anyone could bring a setup that would be greatly appreciated (already have 2 tvs, just need a console, sticks, and game).

I can bring a 360 setup, if anyone has an extra 360 stick that would be great.

Though I can’t come this Friday, I’ll most likely be able to go next time.

Interested in this…If I don’t have plans this Friday I can swing by. Mind if I bring a friend along? I got a PS3 setup and my friend has a 360 setup, if any is needed.

Hey, I sent out PM’s with my address to the people who are able to make it on Friday (except EveryFlowerFlow cause your private message box is full, is there another way to contact you?).

I was able to pick up another TV for free so I have 3 now. I can still accommodate a couple more people if anyone wants to come by Friday at around 7pm and level up, just leave a post!
It’s gonna be like a mini-arc; Empire Arcadia style lol.
