Hey everyone, thanks to Play N Trade NYC, they decided to let us use their venue to keep the SF4 community alive in NYC. So in order to keep it more alive and make it grow, for the next 6 months there will be a series of ranbat. We would like to have 2 ranbats per month and this will depend on dates due to heavy tournaments that are being hosted throughout the year. And the top 8 people with the most “Chocolate Lemon” points will go into a final 8 play off to win the overall Play N Trade prize which is to be determined. It will be a good prize.

But the top 3 winners of each ranbat will be receiving store credit based on tournament entries. Each entrant is 10 Chocolate Lemon Points. So if there was 10 people, there would be 100 Chocolate Lemon points to be passed out for the top4. Placers that are 5th and below will only get one point each. So if there were 10 players, there would $150 Play N Trade store credit which will be divided into 70/20/10 percentage to top 3. Obviously more entrants = more store credit.

Also for the first 2 ranbats, the #1 player with the most points will get a seed to the East Coast Throwdown tournament held in May 2nd - May 3rd for SF4. Thanks to John “SweetJohnny Cage” and Joe “iloveu, Long Island Joe” for giving the players more!!!

A seed means you will have a placement on the bracket of the tournament, not a random placement, so for the first couple of rounds, you don’t have to face another seed meaning another top player.

    everyone else has 1 point.

So good luck to everyone for the 2nd ranbat and fight for the seed for ECT and also for the secret grand prize at the end of the ranbat!!!

Street Fighter 4

System - Xbox 360
Controllers- BYOC
2 out of 3 double elimination
3 out of 5 winner finals/loser finals/grand finals

Winner must stick with same character, loser may pick a new character.

entry fee: $10

prizes: Store credit depending on the entrants. 70/20/10

And also there will be times where I will not be present to run the tourney but Phire who basically got us this deal will do the running of the tournament and of course recording the matches!!! YAY PHIRE

I missed last Saturday’s tourney (Crappy weather:sad:) and I wish I could go to this but that WCG Fighter Club event is on the 25th:confused:

Can pre Regis me again please, Justin. I might make more of an effort this time to talk to people instead of stand around in battle meditation and staring at the sky. I’ll probably make a better effort to remember names (which I have huge problems with in general), like that solid Blanka that slapped my Chun good in the 3rd round winners. I only know Romes cause I’ve played him and remember him from several past run ins, Stevens from a few casuals after it was done (sorry if I got that wrong…I really am bad with names), Andre from Phire, and Phire from the van down by the river.

If this stays bi-weekly I’ll probably miss the next one if I go through with my Vegas vacation. /uselessinfo

Im down as usual, and Justin if you still have that fight pad and wanna sell it aim or pm me. Ill buy it for retail price. I have too many sticks for ps3 and cant willingly shell out more money for a 360 stick just yet.

Last one was fun as hell, I’m up for this. Having proven I can play Zangief as if he were low-tier, this time I’m gonna try to play Gen as if he were high-tier. Who knows what might happen in this topsy-turvy world?

I’m a nobody but I was just wondering, On the 25/26, the WCG or whatever they’re called is doing their SF4 tourny in NYC if i’m not mistaken it’s also at this time, 12ish is when you’re suppose to show up, I could be wrong but i’m just wondering if the ranbat time will change thanks to the WCG tourny, or will people just have to choose between the tourny and the ranbat.

I will be there again most likely unless they send me back to work lol. Prob bring a stick with sanwa buttons did not go to much love for siemistsu just untill andre used it on the final.

please make sure you TRY and show up on time or early so you can get some warm ups in. please bring a controller or at least pretend you brought one.

I am making all attempts to go this weekend. On an off chance, does anyone know of anyone selling ps3 sticks in the city? I need one for east coast throwdown.

This tourney should be moved. World Cyber Games is too big to go to a local tourney on the same day. A major in NYC? Come on, people.

Agreed. Play N Trade was a little too small for 40 people. And the attendence is only going to get bigger.
