3S Online tourney. Post if you're interested in joining

Hey guys, I’m going to be hosting a 3rd Strike online tourney on XBL. Thing is, before I do so, I need to know if anyone is interested. As no one in Oklahoma plays 3rd Strike irl, I figured people online would want to play. Mostly requesting veterans so I can better my 3rd Strike skillz. More info to come if I get any replies.

are you talking about that one tournament feature no one ever uses? would rather just run sets tbh. if you want to get better find good players and add them to your friend list.

Problem is, no one in oklahoma even plays fighters, that’s why I decided to use thed online feature. I know noone uses it, but why not try and see if anybody could help improve my 3S game

i will play if it happens before my live runs out

here’s is avid of me as oro

Its a little cumbersome with the waiting times between a match in that thing. So using regular lobbies is fine if you find the right guys to play who don’t give you a hard time and have egos about their skills in the online world of SF3. New players are welcome just fine.

No worries if you’re from the middle of nowhere or don’t have a local scene and will try to look online for more competition.

I’ll probably do it tomorrow, too late rite now, GT is TehRedCaiborg, mostly main Urien

round 1

“DSSSSNNNHK” crazy noise Oro makes when he gets hit, sneezing loud on OE

round 2, you’re playing a Ryu player, dash up cl. FIERCE

what I mean to say is that the tournament mode is not ideal. you’ll probably get more mileage out of your time spent by adding good players to your friend list, and playing them in lobbies as much as they’re willing.

a few good players that play online on 360 with some regularity off the top of my head:

NoMoreFunland
InTheRoughest
Blinguo
ChaiTea007
DownOutUp
IAmJeffGoldblum
Sandybags

if you see these guys in lobbies or ranked maybe shoot them a friend request and see if they’re down to play. I won’t put words in their mouths but in my experience they’re all good and cool dudes.

with tournament mode it’s one and out. you lose a game, then you spend the rest of the time watching. which has some value too but I think it’s better to immediately hit rematch and go at it again, trying to learn as you keep playing.

I’m scared of all those guys and don’t connect well to DownOutUp.

Which console do you play on Red?

blinguo! we didn’t get to play today! If I have some time, I’ll go online to look for you again. But I can’t promise to stay on long, I have a party to go to tonight. It’s been so long since I’ve been to a party!

lol. LISTEN HEREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE BUDDY

Xbox 360. Would play on arcade, but noone else in OK enjoys SF :frowning:

on ps3, but i just wanted to point out that you’re not the only teen SF3 fan in existence thanks to me haha.

Grew up with 3rd strike, die with 3rd strike.

No problem TuPac.
