3s New Player FAQ // Directions -- START HERE

I’m not going to dedicate any time in learning TTH until as you said, I have all his normals down (knowing the use for all of them/when to use them), I get comfortable with the timing of charging and I learn about my matchups more.

You guys always give solid advice.

Urien’s normal throw range is up there with Q, so throwing with him isn’t such a bad idea, but constantly doing it when someone jumps next to you is asking to get baited. If you don’t have charge and someone jumps at you, do something like s.lp, s.mp, c.hp or dash under. I’ve even had jump back mp work a couple of times.

I’ve found s.mp to be a great AA.

yeah that goes for most characters i think. something to keep in mind.

but theres nobody to play…

There will always be someone to play in 3S.

I’m considering getting into Street Fighter, I’ve been playing Blazblue some. Now I heard that this game has a very high learning curve, so should I start with this game (3SO) or get Super Street FIghter 4?

3s is a better game but theres more people playing 4. take that however you will.

Play whichever one appeals to you more…though I will say that SF4 does have the larger playerbase.

Decided to go with 3SO.

Good job.

Any particular charaters take your fancy?

YES. I love this thread.

Ryu, Ken, Chun-li, Makoto, Ibuki, Hugo, Alex, and Necro. Yeah…game actually has a nice cast!

I read somewhere there was a thread explaining how GGPO works and what you can do to play better with the existance of rollback/rewind/skip/etc but i cant find it anywhere can someone help me? the search tool does not function properly on the old beast of a machine i am currently using.

So…I take it my only option for Denjin Hadouken is to parry it? It comes out too fast for me to jump over it.

you can also stand in its way and die.

A lot of people choose that option.

That’s usually what I end up doing. Best option.

I option select either parry or stand in its way and die

if you hit forward right when you think the denjin is gonna hit you, you’ll get one of those two options
