i think all crouching punches with the exception of Makoto’s c. fierce can be parried either low or high. wait. i think Chun-Li’s c. strong is also a low parry only. but other than those 2, you can parry any crouching punch high or low.

the DC version is gay so you cant hit confirm shit… the best way to do it is… get used to looking at the score at top… if the number changes when you kick low… then let that super fly… if not, then dont…

i used to think that there were some situations where c.SK c.JP c.SK would hit for 3 hits where c.SK c.SK c.SK would only hit for 2 (that maybe the c.JP pushed the opponent back less than the c.SK). i thus learned how to do the above combo using the input
2.SK 2.JP(hold) 362.SK(hold) 36.RK(release SK)
now i’m realizing c.SK c.SK c.SK does fine in most situations and is easier :wtf:
are they in fact essentially the same for all situations?
(ie was i high when i concluded c.SK x 3 pushed back more than c.SK c.JP c.SK)
short short short super does not work well on shotos while they are standing.
so you gotta do short jab short against them if you need that extra 3rd hit of hit confirmation.
i think there may be other characters short short short will not hit on standing… not sure though.

Yeah, it’s weird… But personally I still use cr. short, cr. jab, cr. short on him because it’s a lot more reliable.
Yep indeed, Oro (maybe other characters too) can cross him up if he’s in the corner, but not any of the other shotos.

These are actually DC, but I haven’t noticed any particular difference in arcade so far.
Yes the shotos does not have the same hitboxes, another example would be the Lk version of Gouki’s Tatsu: if ryu and ken are crouching it won’t hit them, but it would hit gouki for sure.

Akuma’s short Tatsumaki also hits a crouching Sean.
Ryu’s short Tatsumaki hits a crouching Akuma, but doesn’t hit a crouching Ken, Ryu or Sean.
you have to 2-in-1 into the Tatsumaki (for both characters using it) using either a medium attack (close s. forward, close s. strong, c. forward-----c. forward is the most reliable in this case though) or a c. fierce. s. fierce pushes them too far.
I guess I’ll ask here… I noticed that after DP-ing Elena you can reset her with a jab midscreen that is, i think i hit her out of the air? … does this also work for others? And against chun-li close strong xx dp, kara-dp works, does this also work with others?? or at least dp, kara-dp midscreen against some ppl?
