Ya I did… I didnt excatly play too well tho. I am always the green one (all the good Dudleys in TO have their own color) and always use Rocket Uppercut. I fought a Makoto first, lost, then beat Akuma and lost to Hugo…

yeah okay iknow which one you where. How many toronto dudleys are there? If the all have their own colour I guess there is what…seven max? I usually use fp colour … i dont know if anyone else uses it. Doesnt no mercy play red dudley? anyway, yeah i thought played pretty well. I find the 3 characters you faced to be the three hardest to fight with dudley. I find akuma and makoto really hard with dudley. I d like to play you some time… you can likely whip me. dudley vs dudley style. Ex cross counters everywhere!

ant one : ya a good Makoto is a bitch, Akuma is just cheap, but I think Dudley have an advantage on Hugo. But I am a lot better player now than I was during summers end. I can handle Makoto a lot better now.
I find the tough matches for Dudley to be: Oro, Remy, Ibuki, Chun(of course), or anyone with high priority pokes.
Also the fact that most character I listed above wont get hit by ex mgb while crouching…:bluu:

chun li is brutal. im having an easier time with akuma… although i guess i need to got to vf or pac mall and see. I feel my dudley is coming along. I find the tosf thing as people use really unusual characters. My friend played in japan and said it was all yun, ken, uriens (aegis), and robo chuns (sa2). But you see oro played here which i guess is an anomoly in sf.

I have the Japanese 5 on 5 vcd and ya they pretty much use the top tier characters, but everyone was used except I didnt see a Necro, Elena, and Sean… I heard they were in it jus that not the whole tourney was in the Vcd. A lot of Yuns, of course, GJ so broken.
Ya Oro is a very good character, I use him sometimes too. I did in an Orbit tournament.
Go to vf on friday nites and Pmall on saturday is usually the best time for good competition.

im going to try to get pmall or vf sometime soon. I think having good comp will be a very educational experience for me. I will probably get “owned” but its all in good fun.

A good ground combo with Dudley is this:

Against a CROUCHING opponent—s.rh xx hcf+fk or hk

that is the standing close roundhouse into dashing uppercut. For the 2-n-1 to connect, the opponent must be crouching( like the LINKS in the 3s LINK encyclopedia–only this is not a LINK–this is a 2-n-1) it is extremly damaging. Best used when down parring a c.fk or c.rk.

If you jump on a DUCKING opponent with a fierce and then land and do the 2-n-1… that is about 45% damage. Save the super for toward+rhxx CB , toward+fierceXX CB , or down parry into CB

Most Uriens will try to keep Dudley away as much as possible, but Urien’s pokes are only single hits so they arent hard to parry, getting inside is the key. Also watch out for Uriens that just do jumpin up roundhouses and throws, Urien relies on those.

This is bound to of been answered, but I’m too much of a fucking lazy to look for this nonsense:

  • I can easily connect his EX MGB > EX MGB > Jab MGB > Forward Sway Punch XX Rocket Upper, as well as his EX MGB > Jab MGB > Short Sway Punch XX Rocket Upper. My question is, can these 2 combos work with Corkscrew? I haven’t been able to connect it.

  • Also, I see now that these 2 combos only work on certain characters on the DC version, but does it work on everyone in the arcade?

  • In your opinion, what is his best, but not too flashy combo that stars with c.RH. (Best combo for corner as well as best for anywhere on screen) And if it only works on certain characters, please state that. (Unless it works on all characters in arcade, that’s my main concern).

How do you 2-n-1 the straight crosscounter from the s.rh?

Also , I saw a vid with dudley using standing roundhouse as a launcher in corner combo vs. Ibuki. how do you do it?

Stump : Yes it works with corkscrew, anything that u can link or cancel into rocket uppercut can most certainly work with corkscrew.

On Dc, the double ex mgb does not work on the shotos, but in arcade it does, also, against Urien, the second ex mgb hits only twice as but 3 times in DC, therefore u can add an extra hit in the arcade version.
I am not sure about it working on everyone, I think it does except for Necro and Twelve. For characters that are jugglable with low RH I think u can do something like ex mgb, jab mgb, low rh, ex mgb. Flashy but waste of meter :lol:

Characters that are low rh jugglable : All the chicks, Alex, Q, Necro, Remy, Oro. Against them I would simply do 5 low rh, and then ducking upper–> super. Against the others I would prolly do low rh, jab mgb, short swingblow --> super.
Sometimes i would also play mind games, such as reseting them and go for a low roundhouse again, toward rh overhead and if they are crouching link it with a super (not Rolling Thunder), just throw them, or parry their counters.

u can also 2-n-1 with other normals such as toward mk, or low mp, with low mp I do this : f, df, low mp, bf, b, f and hit a punch button. takes practice.

Da, if you can do rh xx any SA, it shouldn’t be a big deal to combo the straight-counter. It’s a special like any other.

Standing roundhouse would almost invariably reset the opponent. I can’t think of any occasion when it wouldn’t flip the opponent, unless of course they were dizzy or something. You mean crouching, hey?

One of those videos from Taiwan Capcom Fans has a nice EX MGB combo.

EX MGB + cr. RHx4 + ducking upper. You can start that off with a j.fp, st.rh, and you can also cancel that ducking upper into a corkscrew blow at the end, provided that you have enough meter.

Your opponent has to be in the corner for it to work. The characters it works on are: Chun Li, Makoto, Elena, Ibuki, Necro, Q, Alex, Dudley, Remy, and Oro.

If you go to versuscity.net and check their 3s multimedia files, they have the Dudley expo. After a series of exMGBxx c.rh juggles on Ibuki, he ends it like this: s. roundhouse( which pops her up at super-jump height) xx dashing uppercut xx Rocket Uppercut. Please check to see if i am right.

Haha, good job. For my money though, boring old [jumpin Fierce, standing roundhouse, fierce uppercut] is the best Dudley combo. It’s absurd damage and stun, for no meter cost. Dudley is pretty amazing sometimes.

I checked the vid, and it’s a jab MGB that he does in the combo. He just starts it while the camera’s too high to see the startup.

If you parry certain low attacks–Hugo , Urien, Remy ,shoto footsweeps etc, you can follow up with these combos:

s. rh xx Mk Ducking uppercut(opponent MUST be crouching) XX any SA.

s. rhxxEx Short Swing Blowxx SA I or III . Certain characters don’ t take all the hits, and sometimes you must be close to the corner.

down parry ,then toward+fp into Rolling Thunder( does about half damage to AK,YU,YA,IB,RM,etc.

in corner-c.rh. walk up xx Ex Jet Uppercut, HP Jet Upper (does about 40% on characters like Elena, Chun-li)
