Super Art 3 for Chun Li isn’t hard to parry. And if you do think it’s hard to parry, then you should try to parry someone randomly hitting buttons on Ken’s Super Art 2.
I’ve parried a Shinryuken on the ground before. Your point was?
Zakuta:
Chun is ALL about her fierces. Sure, she may have other moves that are useful, but without her fierces, she would be as good as let’s say…well, let’s just say she would NOT be top tier.
Also, your list of AA’s is ridiculous. Sure, I can do the same thing for any character and list all sorts of ghetto AA’s…like Ken, for instance. His anti-airs are:
s. jab
s. strong
c. fierce
s. fierce
s. strong, s. fierce chain
s. forward
s. rh
SRK
SAI
SAII
Hurricane Kick
air Hurricane Kick
back + forward
toward + forward
j. fierce
j. rh
j. forward
Yeah, anything can be used as anti-air if you expect your opponent to just jump in empty. Now let’s take a look at his anti-airs that actually do have enough priority and speed and a good enough angle to act as REAL anti-airs…
Haha; who said that chun had good AA? I certainly didn’t.
As I already said; Chun is a pure grounded fighter. And of course if her fierces didn’t have ‘so much’ priority she wouldn’t be so great. But what you got to take into account is due to the fact that…
A) Chun has no real decent chains
B) Chun has hardly any moves to chain with
C) Chun has no real anit-air moves
D) Chun is shit in the air
She has to be good in another area. May seem like a BS list to you; but if she didn’t have any priority anywhere; she probably would be one of the least used characters in 3s.
Because she’d have nothing - her offensive game is stripped from her.
If you don’t think Chun is good that’s your problem; but don’t let it escape you that she is 10000000000000000 times better than you think she is.
As I stated before, fierces are what makes chun good. And fierces aren’t that tuff to get around if u get used to it. Chun is good, don’t get me wrong, but not as good as ppl think. I’ll take others characters over her any day. Actually, here is the best prood in my mind that she is not that good. Usually, when tourney’s come, or when a match is important, I tend to fall back on top tier characters even though I don’t use them regularly…examples of this occur in mvc2, cvs2, a3, and cvs. But in 3S, i never resort to Chun cause i don’t believe she is that good. Same with yun. I don’t believe he is that good either. But that’s a different topic. Anyway.
lmao@Yun not being that good. Dude, come on now. Do you ever play against good Yuns? Even if you are blocking chain combo and they end it in Genei, its damn near free damage. Lil bitty bar, sick combos, speed, priority, good specials, command throw, good ex moves. I know this is a Chun thread, but what in your opinion makes Yun not so good?
First, my skill level has nothing to do with my beliefs. From my experience, Yun just isn’t as big of a threat as Ken, Urien, Ryu, Akuma, and Chun Li. He just doesn’t appeal to me. It’s not some grand fact that everyone should listen to. It’s just my opinion. Now everyone just chill. I personally couldn’t give a fuck about tiers in 3S. The reason I’m discussing my 3S beliefs here is cause I enjoy to do so sometimes. Maybe subconciously, I’m trying to cause arguments…I dunno. Who gives a fuck. I just play the game. If I could go to the arcade now, I would be there playing instead of talking about the game. But I’m not, so between homework, playing MVC2, and watching TV, I like to post shit on SRK. This is the shit I’m posting now. I don’t care if you like it or not.
This is awesome. Learn it. Learn it twice! Unless you are from canadia. Keep the kick button held down because you might negative edge into sbk before the super comes out.
Chun is the best! Well, actually I believe that any character can be GOOD as long as the player knows how to play the character effectively… like Chikyuu’s 12.
The only “hard” part about this is that you have to figure out the timing on when to finish the entire motion, too early: super won’t come out, so go into training mode and just practice the timing on how to do the whole 360 while the c.MK sound hits and hit kick when it’s done, did it right, super comes out.
yeah, you gotta do the 360 really fast if the hit stun on the move you are comboing off of is short. sometimes, it’s better to try the double fireball motion cause you can get it out faster. for chun’s mid kick its preferable in my opinion to use the 360 motion because once you get used to it there is less room for spazing out and missing your move. and plus you have a year to get the move out. if you are having trouble connecting just do the move faster. 360 motion is the best advice i have heard in a while though. good shiznit.
I believe that if you hit a mid air d+MK…you can follow up anyway you like…except with an air throw…BTW, who made your avatars? I’d like one like that too.
