No money to get out there. Just started a new job last month, just starting to build up my badly depleted bank account, and my car died last week too on top of everything else. So I couldn’t get out there.
It looks like I can get out to the SF25th anniversary tourney in NYC though.

I think it happened earlier in this thread. He might’ve deleted it since and if he did, the right eyes saw it already. He said he got scrizaped by someone who gets scrizaped by Ryan and/or he got scrizaped by Ryan directly. Then came ignorance followed by sultry ambience which in turn led to the lag or something.
IMO, you can easily how good someone is by simply watching their movements online if online can be any indication of anything besides an internet connection atm. 3s is a combination of tiny “set-ups” or sure fire patterns and when you see a player, or players in this case, relying on match long set-ups, full screen keep away is part of a set up just like footsies would be, then you know they don’t quite get the game. They are just playing 3sOE not 3s, which, I know, is the game they are actually playing but y’all seem to forget that oe is supposed to emulate 3s OG. So you should try to play it as such and then fill in the gaps that OE has made instead of the other way around or else you guys will all have stories like all those dudes Ryan and Andrew are scraping in Vegas.

Dander, I’ve known for a while what you speak of in regards to OE play vs OG play. It’s become even more obvious over this weekend.
ROM, Ironfist, Ryan, Duralath, ReNic, Niceguy Mark, Hold Dat, AdamB, AnurysmX, Kokujin and others forced me to snap out of it. Takes me a while to rub my blinking eyes to see clearly though. Been scrubbing away bad habbits for a while but there’s more to go yet.

Yes I have to say KoF XIII is the best fighter of this generation and EVO 2012 is the hypest XIII tournament since its release.
Now we can be sure that Tokido only win non-SF games in tournaments that don’t include any top players. Even Chinese duo (Da Kou & Xiao Hai) are not big dogs at XIII, they’re 98 players and people overrated about their skills in XIII too much. The Korean army in EVO was brutal. Shout out to Mexico and US too. Japan and China are history now!

@rowan/nomorefunland - sorry we didnt get to play a set! spent too much time drinking. I play pretty bad when I’m drinking anyway as you and others probably discovered 
KoF was friggin HYPE as hell, good crowd. Made SF4 look like a granny with a walker, Infiltration is sick though. Marvel was pretty exciting too but wanted ChrisG to win. This year though Mr. Cannon was tight on all the rules of the casino. No crowd surfing, no throngs of people spilling into the isles, no random setups allowed on finals day in the surrounding hallways. He stopped finals a few times to give people a scolding. This dude was yelling out Uncle Tom and shit. Uncalled for but I’m told last year was a lot more like a rock concert.
Also, Arlieth has some mean smoke. Great taste in cigars.
Sun coming up over the early morning crack session with a fresh buzz and only a couple hours of sleep ahead was a snapshot I’ll remember for a while.
On an unrelated note, the caricatures that SRK breeds are hilarious once you meet people in person.

Me with hardly Japanese speaking at all, got help from Final Roundbats (my fave moment, Kokujin 20 yards away from me doing the “you come to me or I bring to you?” emote) and Maryland heads to organize language barrier break down, a min from DQ my afternoon CvS2 plan, we’re still organizing via translator - your requisite EVO ATL guy speaking Nihongo
- though co.JP were out to get paid, fight money, T shirt sloganized, murder us while we drink and play and they didn’t drink or shit, some of us were suprised by their arrival thus late and tipsy from other plans when I tried to inform as many 3s heads as I just met and knew when I managed to miraculously get this setup.
As gracious and accomodating a host I tried to be with Duralath, 2 of our guys, proud to say, were on their level. They barely won a Japan vs USA, to the last game last round(?) due to the strength of their Anchor who was just on another level that night.
& it is in a way better to “play them straight up than toss money at the tables and slots throw it away” As a few guys went MIA again too which would’ve represented USA well but Poker cash allure took them away for a few magical hours.
Thought would only get 1 Japan player. He said, oh, time? I may be busy finals or commentary, so its a tournament?! Can I come late? Bring more Japan player?! Then he was open to very fair terms money matches. No ridiculous amounts of money, with Umezono Chun didn’t know was here and Haitani Makoto beast among any game with Makoto in it.
It was an experience not to be missed. And it doesn’t have to be that “once in a lifetime,” nor should you wait until you’re on someone you respect greatly’s level yet. Go meet that guy, see he’s a real person, and maybe he’ll share knowledge first hand with you. Or anybody else that plays your characters, or whatever, knowledgeable fuckin dudes. This is not my experience as much as it is everyone, as KeninBlack could tell you, or Poe, or etc.
Way longer than it needed to be, will shut up - I definitely did try to make that a habit down there - save some, EVO high still going, sleep fighter more. Video later if fiending on that.

i met the famous pherai… i really wanted a picture of you and me, but i was so nervous when i saw you. i could hear my heartbeat. boom boom… boom boom… i was honored to be in the same room as you… its like when people meet diago and is starstruck…i dont know if it was just me i was so nervous , i was sweating and i drenched my sweatrag. it couldve been the 120 degree weather, but i know it was a very small part of it… i had to leave… i came back and i stood outside your room wanting to knock on the door again… but i couldnt… i stood there for an hour hearing buttons and laughter… when i noticed someone was coming out… i ran away and hid… peering from the corner hoping it could be you… and i could walk by all cool and hoping you would recognize me and say wassup and invite me back into the room. we would have an all night session going. but around 5am i gave up. i didnt have enough courage to do so. man im a wimp. I did this for a couple nights, but on sunday i had to leave and go back to my reality. i feel alot better now putting my feelings in this box .its so much easier releasing my thoughts behind this screen… i hope i get to see you next year and get that picture i so desired. or maybe you could send me a picture of yourself and i can photoshop the picture and put myself next to you…your arm around my shoulder while we give the 2 finger peace sign. i watch your videos everyday… Dearest Pherai, Son of God. is my favorite. maybe we can do a podcast or videocast someday kekeke ^_^… FIGHTING…
