there’s a slider in the online challenges section of OE that tells you how many characters you’ve won with online. I was at 15/19 having never really paid attention. I went through the leaderboards to see who I’ve never played and it makes a lot of sense: 0 games played for Remy, Necro, Hugo, Twelve. no surprises.
anyway I set out on a goal tonight to win one with each of them because I like my little online sliders to all be at 100%. Remy and Necro were relatively easy, got them on the first try. Hugo and Twelve were awful. I kept running into the same Urien (which btw, I firmly believe that at my level of F- Hugo and Twelve play, Urien is a hard counterpick to both characters). took me three tries to win to win with Hugo, four to win with Twelve.
after a couple failed Twelve attempts I decided I’d better pick X Copy because I’m a lot better at Aegis-less Urien than I am with Twelve. I brought us both down to slivers of life, final round, and right as I’m about to finish him off, X-Copy runs out, I eat a headbutt and die. OMG.
I ended up winning the next one with Twelve by discovering the stand strong button. it’s pretty good. makes me wonder why no Twelve I play against ever uses it. beats like everything.
