i’m curious about what made it so difficult to set up. maybe you can share what you’ve learned (like any gotchas and confusing things) in the fightcade thread.
i don’t know what’s been going on with fightcade, but it’s been pretty bad lately. v0.37 on the old server worked just fine. now, there are mass disconnects in the middle of gameplay.
I’d be interested to see some benchmarks for FightCade done on various setups. I’ve basically given up on the idea of an arcade-perfect port at this point, but it would be interesting to see how close/far FightCade is so we’d know what to look out for.
Had an okay set with Juicebox. He has an alright Ken. I never have much luck Parrying Ken’s AA’s online. It cuts out at the end because it crashed, we tried again and the spectator lag was so bad that time we just couldn’t do it. I know I did tick into Powerbomb too much, it wasn’t troll I guess I just had Powerbomb on the brain. Definitely had quite a few dropped inputs though. It’s like there’s a gremlin that fucks me over when I try to do something on wakeup or get a nice punish opportunity.
Also beat the Headbutt spam champion Cruise 2-1 but it kept crashing in the 2nd match. I was willing to rematch but he decided not to. For some reason the lag felt slightly worse against him.
I went through the replays and for whatever reason two of them just froze in the middle of the match even though full disclosure I won 2 and he won 1. I did not quit after winning once, the match just kept crashing. I was willing to rematch and he was not. This was the only salvageable replay.
All I have to say is thank God for XBL. Had a lot of fun, good games to anyone I might’ve played…never seen so many players rely solely on air tatsus and dashes for offense.
For anyone on 360 who is curious about PSN, just imagine everyone plays like biggiesmalls with JiendoAU’s connection.
That said, pretty much everyone I played was very nice and sent a bunch of positive messages after matches; pretty much the opposite of XBL. Very well mannered player base on PSN.
Is there a 2:15 max limit on youtube uploads from 360 or something? Before the patch when we could only upload videos to the capcom youtube channel I don’t recall having this issue, but now that I linked it to my youtube channels I’m noticing they’re all cutting off around 2:14 to 2:16 minutes in. Couldn’t find any other info anywhere on this. I need my grainy ass 3S matches in their entirety!
The better players are usually level-headed, but the randoms and scrubs are so spiteful. The rage is incredible.
Not so on PSN. Every one of those guys says nice, good job, amazing, or something to that effect and sends me a friend request. Nice guys, just a truly inferior online experience which keeps me from really enjoying it.
