2df=smooth games/inconsistent comp
I remember going from like XBL and 2DF to offline, and having my timing all messed up. Now going from 2DF to GGPO it throws my timing all off. Thats how good GGPO is.
I recently went back to 2DF and the lag just didn’t feel like 3s it felt like a different game, and it wasn’t fun. No disprespect to my opponent at the time, but they were able to fight with me, while on GGPO it would have been a complete different story. It changes the way you fight, the way you react, and how you choose to move.
If you got a good computer then GGPO is definitely the way to go. I only get bad frame skips, if the connection is bad, or the person is too far, which is still better than 4 frame EC vs WC delay. I think right now GGPO is the best online method to represent 3s. Not to mention the competition is miles better, which was enough to have me make the switch.

ggpo works flawless for me, Its 2DF that keeps crashing on me for no reason from time to time.
Tho its still playable…2DF is way to over rated at this point.

Honestly after playing 3s on 2df the delay is killing me I cant get anything timed right.
Honestly ggpo is better for me.
CGA has less lag than both of those programs 
Honestly 2DF runs so much better than ggpo on my PC, and i have a very good one. For 3s 2DF is just superior, for the other games differences are unnoticable.
The thing is, 2DF has over 100 games, and there is a pretty big community for a lot of games that ggpo doesn’t have, like SF2 Champion Edition, Puzzle Fighter, Real Bout Fatal Fury 2, Samurai Shodown 5 Special, All KOFs, Samurai Shodown IV and Hyper Street Fighter 2 AE. And there are also big communities for games that are pretty much dead on GGPO, like Garou, Last Blade 2, and Samurai Shodown 2.
There are also way more 3s players from North America and Europe on 2DF.
Not to mention 2DF got rankings, character matchups charts, character usage charts, rating chart, and automated tournaments soon. It is also updated and improved awesomely fast! It has grown a lot on very few time.
The community can also help to get stats to new games, pretty much any game you want.
I guess it depends on the tastes of each one of us. Both are great programs, i’m always looking for matches on both.

2df is the truth. as long as you dont play anyone from too far away, youre good! and 2df is good for letting you know if someones ping is too high. if it gets too laggy, oh well. theres some people you wont ever get to play lag free. :shake:
