Im assuming this is for the purpose of getting Urien into the corner and pushing him back?

Damn straight, following this.

There is that, but he was trying to point out that not all of the hits are going to connect, particularly the last set of LoVs, so there’s one thing to look out for regarding SA1. Just pointing out one weak point of an otherwise good Super. This is why you see him trying to do it over and over on Urien, because the last set kept hitting him. lol

ah i see, it seemed because it kept on connecting that there was nothing too wrong with it especially since he kept on getting it consistently lol i figured he would purposely try to get the last portion to get blocked in order to push them back further

One of the moderators should pin this topic so it would be easier to find, seriously!

Awesome thread, thanks for the translations. I’ll look forward to seeing more.

Yes Urien tuto from Riki is godlike!

Perhaps these can be next after the Rikimaru translation?

Has anyone ever seen a Boss tutorial on Gouki?
Any japanese gouki tuts?

reading my mind dawg lol

Id rather have a Match gouki tutorial.

Boss would be Mak.

also, Nuki giving tips for chun would be a miracle for everyone

Logged in just to be able to say how much I appreciate you and this thread.

no translations Aku

RIP aku, you helped us all so much before your accident ;_;

can you translate the whole thing for us? THANKS!

You have to travel and see aku in person and hand him bills. Maybe not $50 like you give TheShend.

How about a 1,000 yen note.

I found this stuff but i’m not sure if its some common knowledge or some Ken tricks. Found it in the japanese 3s wiki, can you translate it please if its something dope?

Also this :

It’s supposed to be some technique, but the translator translates it to Bro-Air squat and I dont think it has much to do with lifting and being a bro

Thanks a lot dude

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates. I’ve been too busy with some personal matters lately. I’ll be translating vids soon, but for now I can do vandarkholme’s post in the meantime.

Small tidbits:

  • Ken’s f.HK(that delayed overhead kick) can link to SA3 on a crouching opponent. You can also do this with Shoryu Reppa and Shinryuken.
  • Depending on when you hit them, if you anti-air the opponent with LP Shoryu, you can follow up with MP Shoryu.
  • The following characters can get hit by MP->HP->MP Shoryu->SA3 when right next to them:
[]Crouching Remy(this can work midscreen, but it’s also much harder to connect)
    [
    ]Crouching Dudley
    []Standing Makoto
    [
    ]Hugo, standing or crouching
    []Crouching Urien
    [
    ]Crouching Gill
• Ways to have UOH connect as it goes down:
[]As quickly as possible right on the opponent’s wakeup
    [
]Slightly get back from the opponent to get in the proper distance(pushing the opponent to the corner with SA3 will create the perfect spacing needed)

Kara-UOH right next to the opponent (maybe karaing off HK works best?) (cornered or crouching Chun only?)
For the sake of clearing any more potential confusion:
“Parrying” in Japan is known as “Blocking”, and the blocking we know in English is called “guard” in Japan.

This is a form of an anti-air option parry select. When the opponent does a jump-in attack at you, you can tap down, followed immediately by a tap towards the opponent. This way you can either have the jump-in get whiffed or parried.

There’s not really much else Kuroda goes on about. He talks about how Daigo seemingly has a grudge against Kuroda for some reason, and then says he might have seen him once or twice in the streets. He says he could tell because he could hear a faint “…hadouken!”.

I’d imagine this is also a very good way to get a foot in your crouching face if timed wrong and/or your opponent does a very late/deep jump-in. Can work, but not something you should go crazy with.
