Just a heads up for you guys, I decided to try a 3s revival here on the EC called the 3rd Ascension League, obviously starting with NY, by holding regular Danisen Battles and streaming them at the same time to grow interest, I already have a site setup and stream channel to use so if we can pull our weight together I’m sure we’ll eventually see a revival the same way ST was brought back, especially considering a chunk of 3s players from Japan were at Evo too Here’s the site: http://3rdascension.webs.com/

You can register on the site and stay up to date on any upcoming events, danisen battles, or special streams, and by listing your characters, I’ll register you onto the Danisen list so you can simply come and play to rank up.
I’m trying to really bring everything back so we won’t be stuck in the shadows anymore, we can’t sit on our asses and expect 3s to be hype only by Japan itself, we all need to do something and this is where we can start. Hopefully you guys check out the stream this weekend, promote it, or whatever so we can start the season big before the Capcom 25th Anniversary Tournament.

Uploading the 1st Danisen Battle to youtube right now, it’s 3 hours long and not all the matches are good in terms of level (due to being 1st dan) but this is just the beginning and with 23 people entering the 1st dan battle, it’s more than enough see that this scene can still be revived
Also, more news regarding the Danisen Battle #2 which will be held at Next Level (due to better accommodations) now posted onto the site

Huh? I’m just stating my opinion. But facts are still facts, and those facts are that America is ass at this game, EVO hates this game, and so does a large portion of the FGC, and that OE was the best shot at a revival and it’s already fizzled out.
The last thing we need is cynicism and a defeatist mindset. They’re trying to start a revival, we’re all for it. Or at least I am. I don’t want to see this game die out just yet, and I’m glad that somebody’s actually taking the time/effort to do this.

Tried to watch Nica’s Live Stream during the event times. Glad its archived, no need for youtube, twitch skip around is fine for me. That’s part of sp00ky getting burnt out. Having to move and cut up all kinds of hours of video to easily viewable chunks 1 at a time for youtube people who don’t appreciate the time taken and that its not easy.

Well I for one think something like this might work, and at least am hoping so. 3s being dead, not having players, yadda yadda maybe being the case currently doesn’t mean it would be somehow impossible to make it work again. Yeah, 3SOE is fizzeled out in the sense that all the casual and scrub crowd might have left it behind and moved onto newer things, but the old players and some of the new ones that realized it’s a good, solid game are still there and correct me if I’m wrong, but it’s that crowd of people something like this is catering for, not to hook in millions of new people. 3s is a really good and competetitve game, people who see this, wheter old or new, will come and play. Haters gonna hate, and could just keep their mouth shut if they don’t have anything worth while to say. Best of luck.
