Lately I’ve been messing around in 3D Studio max alot…with all this 3rd strike I’ve been playing lately I felt I needed to throw in some SF aspects into one of my 3d artworks…The purpose of this model is to make a wrestler without completely ripping of ryu so that I can sell wrestling arena/props/wrestlers as a package in a 3d marketplace. I mind you that this image is nowhere near finished, it’s basically a rough draft, not fully proportioned and smoothed out…also there is absolutely NO textures in this model…which there will eventually be, but lemme know what you think…keep in mind it’s not supposed to look like Ryu, only inspired by Ryu I’ll post more images as I complete him.
I think it looks alright so far. I think you have to watch your eye placement they look a tad close together. Not too much to look at the moment. Looking forward to seeing your progress in the future.
Welcome to SRK
Why don’t you make an Alex, Mike Haggar, Gief, or Hugo ripp off. That would be cool. You should play some Slammasters for research.
lookin decent. if you want some great crits etc… on your 3d work hit up polycount.com those guys over there are very helpful. I mess with 3ds max myself although i haven’t done anything since i modeled adwarf a few months ago. I’d post him up but dont wanna hijack your thread. keep goin, oh and it always helps to get wireframe shots to assist with crits.
wow thanks for the reply guys, here’s a coo little image I did after I fixed up some of the facial issues I was having…once again nowhere near completion, just kinda had a cool effect…jaw line still looks a little silly but I’m trying to make sure I keep that strong jaw look
