Quick noob question regarding strider assist, does his Vajra assist hit high?
Dood. I’m not the one who made the title or saying for it. I’ve heard it around me since I started playing SF competitively, I’m more than positive it applies to MvC as well. And instead of asking me questions why couldn’t you answer the actually question I had about my team. Or did you have nothing to say on that matter in the first place?

Research it if you’re really interested. Pro Gamers get paid for gaming and that’s it. What do you mean you don’t decide to go Pro? That makes no sense. That’s like saying you don’t decide to go to college and do something with your life. lol Doing tournaments get you famous, then you get recognized and lots of doors open. Me and Mike had a conversation about this when I met him at Planet Zero. It just takes time.
vajra assist does not hit high because you can block it low. it hits mid. low/mid/high don’t refer to where the attack animates visually.
and no, I don’t need to research shit. next time you meet dude ask him if his tournament results put bread on his table. No disrespect even, I really respect and enjoy what that guy is doing but shit is not pro unless that is your livelyhood. TBH it’s probably better to ask the X-23 section for a third because Strider is good on almost any team. Assists are just kind of a bonus for him.
Just ignore the guy, after reading through your little back and forth I’ve come to conclusion he just doesn’t understand what you’re talking about, no matter how elementary you lay it out for him.
Besides, none of that nonsense has anything to do with building a team with Strider. I came here to read team combos and instead found that shit.

I’m playing Viper/Firebrand/Strider:
I feel this is currently one of the best teams for Viper, and that Firebrand gets a lot out of it too. If I DHC firebrand out and Strider in he gets a ton out of Firebrand’s B assist including damage, mix ups and set ups!
I really like having state change super DHCs with legion as Firebrand gets an invisible high low left right since he’s both tiny and fast. If run in the opposite order it’s an incredibly scary team since Strider becomes a ToD character, and has access to a ton of unblockables with his dash momentum + 2C and Viper. I feel he ends up very strong with this team for sure.

ON another note, I’m thinking of maining Strider along with X-23, but what exactly makes him a great member on any team? I thought that was Hawkeye’s job? lol
Ya well, i already have Vergil on his running slash assist, so shipuga isn’t necessary for me. His AAA is very good in terms of defense.
My strider team is currently Zero/Dante/Strider.
Strider’s hard knockdown allows for both Zero and Dante to combo afterwards. Jam Session is Zero’s best assist, and it helps Strider pretty well too (but needs more experimentation). Strider is there for both assist and anchor roles.
The only bad thing is that Zero/Dante DHC was nerfed from this game, so hopefully its gets better with the help of Strider assists.
Been looking for a character that compliments Viper and it seems Strider does the job. Either on point with the right assists is dangerous. Found some absolutely ugly setups with Hiryu on point and BK assist with Viper.

Haha looks like im joining the Viper army and adding Strider to my team. Im using Viper(burn kick)/Strider(Vajra)/Doom(Hidden Missiles). And I am enjoying this team. I am enjoying Strider more than Viper though. I have to admit that
Im probably gonna run hawkeye/dante/strider, I think to take proper advantage of the vajra you need characters who can self otg and dante has to be one of the best at that, and ill test if hawkeye can do the same(I think he can but what do i know?). Plus the team has TONS of color co-ordination synergy which is always necessary.
Ah, I see. So I guess Doom would be my anchor. Trish X Factor Lvl 3 is scary but her lack of getting in without assist is a real pain.

i just decided to pick up strider today but how’s this?
I know this team sounds silly but it’s been working out really well so far. 1. Ghost Rider (chain assist) 2. Ryu (hadou assist) 3. Strider (vajarna assist). The hadoken with ryu is slow enough to be really useful actually and ghost rider can build meter all day for strider. There is something so satisfying about coming in, Ryu assist, X factor, activate orbs then proceed to rush that shit down with a chain whip backing up your offensive onslaught.
Strider(Vajra), Magneto(EMD), Super Skrull(Orbital Grudge)
Its actually producing more synergy than I initially hoped for.
But I dont run Strider on anchor because im least confident with him right now.
