Grab your dance partner and get those team techniques ready cause its time for the 1st 2v2 of 2013! We play the AE side of the coin first which means we should see quite a number of grade A teams form up come Monday. This event does NOT count for ladder standings, so just come on out and have fun with it. We’ve also seen a good spike SFxT so that may come on for some matches if AfterHours allows. It’ll also be one of the last times to come out and lab up should you be heading to Atlanta next week for FR XVI. No matter the reason you have to come, we hope to see you nonetheless. *2v2 rules - Entry fee will be $10 per team and the tourney will be run in an AvsA/BvsB format. Teams will designate who their A is and who their B is upon entry.
Here is an example of how a match will go: A from Team 1 will play A from Team 2 in a 2/3 set, then both B players will play in a 2/3 set. If A from Team 1 wins his/her match and B from Team 2 wins his/hers, then A and B will fight in a 2/3 set.
Which ever team wins that set wins the match.
VENUE FEE/STATION RESERVATIONS:
If you want to waive the $5 venue fee and help out STLBarWarz please register to reserve a station for your setup. Set-ups must include both a console and a screen. During tournaments STLBarWarz reserves the right to ask you to set your station to a particular game, however you may otherwise play whatever you’d like at your set-up. We may also be preferential to those who bring ASUS or other low-lag monitors vs. monitors which have noticeable lag. If you reserve a station in advance you have until the first tournament starts to get it set up or your space may be used by someone else.
For those who bring a set-up without a reservation you will be allowed to set-up on a first come first serve basis until all the spots are filled. We will also waive your venue fee. (Note: If you and a friend come up and one brings a console and the other a screen, only one person can claim that setup… the other must still pay).
