Hey I’m havin’ trouble with Supercade. See when I first ran it, NET Framework was successful and it ran. It first asked me for the ROM path and I selected it. Then the Supercade logo appeared on the bottom right of my taskbar. But nothing else popped up. The game didn’t show up and the person whose session I was joining told me he didn’t get a connection from me. I decided to start from scratch and deleted the folder where Supercade was, and now when I try to run it I get an error that says
The system cannot find the file specified. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070002)
Bummer. Does anyone know how to fix these problems?
bubblan, it will only ask you to select your roms folder when it cant find the roms it needs. Whats the problem there?
Summer of love, you just cant go deleting shit ;p its windows. Theres another hidden folder somewhere that you now have to delete. its created by .net clickonce and it’s location is random underneath some sub folder that I forget the location of. Try searching for supercade and seeing if it comes up.
Joe, it’s the same emulator as 2df.
fiol, that sux. might be a problem with the rom. does anyone else have this issue with this game?
well it’s quite difficult to find some players willing to play this game but the guy i played with told me it’s not the firt time that the game freezes after 2mins but if u play alone (single mode) there is no such a problem.
Listen damdai dude. For like 2 hours I was trying to fix Supercade. It really harshed my mellow ya know…so I started tinkering. Ya know, trial and error. I was desperate, man…
But that fixed. Appreciate the help, dude.
EDIT: There seems to be another bummer here. When I host a game and start a session, nothing pops up. I have Play and Wait on so the single player emulator SHOULD run but nothing comes up. Just the Supercade icon on my toolbar.
The problem is just weird. When I’m picking a rom that I don’t have I always get the choose your rom folder popup and it says that the rom isn’t there (which it isn’t).
When I pick a rom I have (and have played with on supercade before) it starts up the emulator and tries to load but says that it can’t find for example garou.zip and neogeo.zip and then it lists all the files that are in the roms and says they can’t be found.
It seems that my roms can be found but not read and I didn’t have this problem until yesterday.
Maximum 10 minutes dude. I was only able to play with ONE guy in 3rd Strike. Everything else hangs whether I either join their session or I create my own session.
I managed to solve it by copying all my roms into the roms folder in the supercade folder. Kinda weird considering I’m still using the roms folder in my documents. I even double tested it and it will only work when I’m having the roms in the supercade folder.
Damdai, any chance to update the nFBA emu? I know that the MK games are Genesis ones, but it’s better than no MK at all, there’s also VF2, and if I’m not mistaken, some NBA games?
My game stops running and says not responding and then closes automatically. Anyone know if this is a problem on my end or if that’s just what happens when people exit out? I thought it could just be that since once it happened after only one round, and the other two times I played it didn’t happen for awhile.
