this tourney has had an overhaul so no more rounds and multiple dates. no ranking points either. Just a simple cut & dry fun tourney. So with this format it could take place once a week but Ill do it twice a month.:wgrin:

Um… I can’t exactly detect sarcasm, it seems more like ignorance but everyone is right; Double elimination means that there is a winners bracket and a losers bracket but it says nothing about how many matches you play to put you into the other bracket. You can have one match to determine it or a best of 3 style, whatever. Single elimination means no losers bracket, you lose one match vs an opponent and you’re out of the tournament.
And that’s the terminology!
So I guess what you meant to say in your first post is “One Match - Double Elimination.” So no 2/3, just one match, but there is double elimination. If you do single elimination that just means you lose and you’re out of the tournament, meaning no LOSERS BRACKET!
It’s not that as much as people are/will be confused if you mix the terminology like that. Best of 1, double elimination is what it sounds like you wanted to really say. If you’re organizing a tournament you want to reduce the confusion and you want everyone playing under the same set of rules. You don’t want nearly every player being confused.
yeah karapalm is right. You just have to realize that you cant do single elim and have a losers bracket. that would make it DOUBLE elim. how can u have a losers bracket when the players who LOSE are out of the tourney. Think about it.
Yeah well with all the fucking tournies that decided at the last minute to be held during mine I said fuck it. There was a europe 3S, another 3S and some friggin Jojos tourney.
You think people would have some respect and hold something on a different day or time but no. Garbage indeed. What did like 2 people show anyways cause all the other damn tournies being held at the same time?:annoy:
I can do it next SAturday. I still wanna do it and Alexi is gone. You see apparently he has a life cause he goes to college and has a girlfriend. So unless you have those two things then you dont have one.:looney:
But yea I can hold them once a week or every other week (depending on the demand), same day, same time. Whoever does the jojo tournies should think about having it on another day or time. You know who does them?
You do realize that I’m still going to HOST tournies I just won’t be in them and since you are a dumbass I said you don’t have much of one. You may want to check your facts there bud. And also the european tourney was today… the jojos is a different game and only a few people came into the 3s from the jojos. In other words EPIC fail on your part… and also since you dont read there’s a Garou Tournament Next weekend on the 17th… i think you should reschedule since you dont want to host tournies with other ones around…
