As the title says, this is going to be a team tournament ranking battle…last time i spoke to Exo he was RLY disappointed with the last turn out of his 2nd RB and refuses to do them…so i decided to pick up from a new step and start off with Team Tournament Ranking Battles

Similar to that of the KSK gamersvision ranbats ill be running these ranking battles in a team format all random with points given out to the winning players of top 6 (Double elim) top 8 (Single Elim)

Depending on the turnout i will determine which format to use (double or single elim)…i hope this will inspire more players to show up and give the effort to get that first place

Third Strike Team Tournament 2v2 2df 1st Ranking Battle (Season 1)

Date: Friday Oct 31, 2008

Time: 8 p.m EST

Registration time: 7p.m- 8p.m EST

How to REGISTER: MSG me in 2df (Nica K.O) with your character of choice during the registration time**(ONLY US, Canada, Mexico)

Rules: ALL TEAMS ARE RANDOM

  1. No team can have 2 of the same characters on a team (2 yuns = NO NO)

  2. a team is eliminated or sent to losers when both players on the opposing team lose

  3. If you KNOW you’re going to leave early dont join at all…my tournaments last from at least 2 hours to 3 hours (dont waste my time putting you on a team)

Requirements (ONLY if you CANT host):if you KNOW you cannot host

nfba and hamachi are required

Points will be awarded to team players as follows:

Double Elim- Top 4

1)10 pts
2)7 pts
3)5 pts
4)3 pts

Single Elim- Top 3

1)10 pts

So is there any for sure people that haven’t come in this thread you all know will most likely be there? Don’t have much experience on 2df and more so I play on GGPO more often then not so I’m not sure if I can enter this. Regardless if there are vids out I will check it out and maybe go to the next one.

Thank you everyone for showing up and im sorry for the rocky start but ppl just dont seem to have commen sense to pay attention or read when i announce something…Also thank you to those players who stood by and had the patience to deal with this…and shame on those who left or went afk without telling me…it RLY fucked me up in the beginning…next time itll be better and i plan to hold either a 3v3 or 1v1 and im going to have it at 9pm since thats when the higher level players come out to play lol…i hope to see everyone again in the next ranbat which i will announce in a week or 2…Thanks Again

Congrats to the winners… who exactly wins - a person or a team?

Just wondering… how do you plan to allocate points if teams are random each time? Or are points allocated per individual?

Also, could you post the brackets?

I mean it was bad enough it was on Halloween but random fags spamming in chat just made shit worse, not to mention the people who didn’t know what to do half the time. All in all there were some good matches played and I hope the next tournament goes smoother.

Maybe singles? Depending on randoms, especially online seems unreliable. Anyway, GJ Nica, you have outstanding patience lol. :rock:

the chat im used to cuz thats how it always is in my tournaments what broke my buttons was ppl not reading the thread and not showing up to there matches…or even leaving early without telling me…so the next one i have WILL go smoother because now im going to have a rule to Join an IRC Channel in order to register (i dont rly want to because then ppl dont feel like getting it and it screws with the turnout making it worse…but next time depending on turn out we’ll either have singles or 3v3 (24 ppl for teams if its uneven we do singles)

and Yes the points are givin individually to winning players on the team so for the first place team stephen1 gets 10 pts and robots gets 10 pts

plus maybe because it was halloween too but 18 ppl isnt that bad for a holiday…we’ll see how it goes next time
