[details=Spoiler]everything that’s supposed to be shocking or as emotional already happened in season 3. Logan as the villain yeah totally didnt see the richard nixon lookalike being a bad guy.
idk, this season is just…there. im up to the part where the dude from homeland security erased the recording implicating the president WHICH BY THE WAY MAKES NO FUCKING SENSE WHATSOEVER. YOU ARE GOING TO HELP A CRIMINAL WHEN YOU ARE THE BIGGEST STICKLER FOR THE RULES THERE IS?
also, Chloe is supremely unlikeable, she’s dangerously close to ruining the show for me. And Kim Bauer’s cameo only for her to once again, be a total straight up cunt to her dad. seriously, just die already, slags
Bauer is still the man though, and Curtis is a G 4 lyfe[/details]
Season 5 was an exciting combination of personal vengeances and disbelief overload with a sprinkling of MGS2 (one of the reasons I wasn’t even mad when Keifer replaced Hayter in MGSV lol).
At the time, NO ONE knew Logan would be behind everything - well behind The Patriots heh - prior to it bring revealed due to how much of a blowhard pussy he was during both S4 and beginning of S5. In retrospect if you looked at his scenes in S5 eps before the reveal, he was usually seen hurriedly getting off the phone with someone. I saw that more than just TV scene transitional folly. It was just brilliant. Logan was the Heisenberg as seen from Hank’s eyes to describe that moment (fuck that just blew my mind)
Furthermore the very last moments of S5 had us crazy fools hyped for S6 you wouldn’t believe. Until S6 actually premiered…
Christopher Henderson tore it up. There’s a “Dark Hadou” theme in the series, with CTU agents who get screwed by the system and turn against their countries and colleages. There’s a bit of tension over which disgruntled CTU agent is next (assuming they don’t die off first), and how close Jack’s gonna go over the edge. S5 also had some of the best Shakespearean drama in the White House since S2. I think Mike Novick’s name in the old 24 threads was Iago (from Othello). And it felt like “one season” instead of different plots like I said before.
Chloe might always be annoying and unlikeable, but she’s 24’s Otakon in the most general sense. She and Jack have both been through the war (on turrer), both suffered losses, and over time they become closer allies than any of the snot-noses at CTU or greasy politicians in the White House.
How much of the 24 fanbase watches Nascar? low percentage id wager if they are putting up new promo material it would be money better spent firing it on netflix/youtube/psn or some shit
