24: Age of Bauer-Soon

not sure if intentional comedy or not

almost everything was good except the part when terrorists magically found ben…EXACT location  not sure if I missed something but I don’t like things being that convenient.

and they couldn’t hire chloe again? forgot wtf happened to tony but wasnt he still alive…?? yeah get his ass in here too.

They have “plans” for Chloe in Legacy. We need a “dammit Chloe” moment because 24 would be nothing without it.

Edgar Stiles was also mentioned during today’s episode that aired after the Super Bowl.

Shin Almeida is back and should be making an appearance soon.

We’ll probably know more about how the terrorists found them (likely someone using their drone surveillance technology) in a later episode.

I saw the first episode…it was good.

I got confused with the HS substory though:

Spoiler

Are both the girl and teacher terrorist cells?

Spoiler

Seems like both are cells.

plus teacher loves dat underage european pussy :coffee:

In the preview for Designated Survivor, someone gets shot and rolled out on a stretcher. If it turns out to be Kiefer Sutherland’s character, that opens up the possibility of Jack Bauer appearing later on down the line.

when is E2 again?

tonight

Birdchest Bauer whole bloodline looking weak

i was about to tap out watching this show “yo, i’m a blacketyblack man. u know imma get arrested by racist-ass cops for standing around” until i remembered Miranda Otto was on this show wearing a skirt. that’s worth about 2 more episodes…

not bad

black-bauer is doing exactly what the real bauer would be doing except he’s not as cool.

Watched the first ep, it was good. I did laugh out loud at the blatant use of CGI during that shootout scene.

original 24 didnt have terrible cgi or anything

That scene was so fucking stupid. And how the one stereotypical old white cop was overly aggressive for no reason with him.

This show is pretty painful but it’s somewhat entertaining and nothing else is on Mondays so I’ll keep giving it a chance. I was pretty sad when he was locked in the evidence room at the end they didn’t even give us a “DAMNIT” or anything. Thought it was going to end on that.

I remember the legendary 24 threads here in SRK… I dearly miss those times…

Like I said in discord. This nigga is too frail and soft to be believable. Like, he doesn’t even need to be buff but atleast look somewhat hardened. This nigga looks just like one of those mannequins in Bloomingdale’s or Macy’s. Like gtfo. He’s supposed to be some top soldier?? Stop.

I’ll see if I can get past ep 3. Not trying to tap out yet…But the lead is trash

this is what identity politics gets you. black people crying about awards last year = black people being shoehorned into the shows that don’t suit them this year. expect more of this wackness…

Tony returning is the reason why I’m sticking around for the entire season despite the lead guy not living up to Jack.

I think it’s less about the blatant PC shoehorning that’s the problem and more that the actor carrying on the 24 “Legacy” doesn’t seem threatening in either composure or voice. Had he been an actor (black, white, Asian, w/e) that could evoke the same aura as Bauer we as the audience could take him seriously or at least warm up to him, regardless of the Hollywood agenda.

Case in point, in the new Battlestar Galactica the writers made Starbuck a woman just because, and although there was a generational gap between series, fans old and new didn’t really care, because the Katee Sackhoff was believable in her “Alpha-ness”.
