Eric, yeah, I know…it’s just funny that new generations of people just jump on stuff. Even something like “stick failure” is misconstrued to something that is really a switch being an issue for a button, all the sticks were fine, LOLOLOLL. Most of the guys complaining are 18-22 anyway and just don’t comprehend these things.
Heck, there were even people saying tournament was rigged, ahahhahahah. I mean, I’m happy Justin and Floe got top 2, but I’d be happy for anyone who got top 2…oh well, thanks to everyone that showed and played and had a good time…
I think Jason pretty much summed up everything I wanted to say. The stick/button issue really wasn’t an issue at all. The tournament was ran very smoothly…probably the smoothest tournament I’ve seen. No mistake on the pools. Pools were very fast. Jason did a great job organizing them. Stream matches were good. No pause in action. Team Spooky was fantastic. G4TV exposure is always nice. Big cash money! Top 8 paid. Players were very cool and calm even though big money was on the line.
Ed Boon was there talking to peeps and signing stuff. MK Stick giveaway free-for-all at the end of the tournament. I think we gave away 60-70 sticks at the end there. I really don’t know what more you can ask for in a tournament…I just wish more people were there to enjoy it.
I would like to thank everyone who came out to support the tournament. It is your support that will help me convince PDP to invest in more of these tournaments with possibly more exposure and more money. I’m glad everyone had a good time while they were there. I sincerely appreciate it.
I would like to thank everyone for coming out and supporting this tournament. Hopefully we can throw more big cash tournaments in the future. Here are the results of the MK9 PDP Nationals:
1st ($10,000) - Justin Wong
2nd ($4,500) - Floe
3rd ($2,500) - LI Joe
4th ($1,500) - Fubarduck
5th ($750) - Perfect Legend
6th ($750) - Trophy Club
7th ($500) - Michaelangelo
8th ($500) - Ike S.
I just wanted to say thanks guys for running an awesome tournament! This really was the smoothest running tournament that I have ever went to and it was a blast!
