i was testing that extensively and wasn’t going to even put that OS in the video but i realized that if you just don’t press a button you will avoid crossup helmbreaker everytime, then again not everyone can go under helmbreaker so I placed the OS backward dash one.

Back in Vanilla with Trish, I used to abuse her j.H -> j.2H OS. Basically in the neutral game, you do j.H -> j.2H -> j.214L (Hop Scotch)

[]If they’re within range of her giant j.H, they either get hit or block it. In either case, the j.H cancels normally into the j.2H and then cancels cleanly into Hop Scotch. On hit, it’s a nice combo if they were jumping up trying to get you. On block, you’re safe to escape after that or continue the block string.
[*]If j.H whiffs entirely, it never cancels into the j.2H and you just do a Hop Scotch after the j.H swings, which is still a pretty safe and good thing to do.

No one plays Trish anymore though. She doesn’t do a lot of chip damage and people would rather be annoying with Zero or Morrigan who do plenty.
Trish would be godlike if she did like 15% more chip, and if her general damage got buffed. Oh, and meter gain. She needs that.

I’ve been fucking around with Thor/Strange/Doom as of late for this thread.

[]Thor/Doom is alot of derp. Calling missiles and superjumping doing mighty strikes in the air is a sure way to get in and stay in.
[]Combo starting with Thor using Doom missiles and then a DHC does 964k. Ok damage I guess considering its Thor.
[]Thor can do a regular grab on the ground and switch in Doom for some “swag”.
[]Strange’s piss easy combos (no loops) with Thor mighty spark assist do 700k. If utilized with loops, could probably do 800+k.
[]Mighty Smash might be the better combo assist for Strange.
[]Doom with Mighty Spark assist can do 900k for one meter.
[]A very good Thor team, but lacking for Strange. Possibly a better alternative can be in place. Storm, Magneto, Ironman would probably be better second slots.
[]Team beats nuts pretty bad. It keeps them honest because Mighty Strike with missiles are just that retarded.
[]Morrigan/Doom beats this team, but not as bad as some would think. Thor gotta stay in the air or in the culo though with Mighty Strikes. Strange is helpless against this other than just doing random Vishantis and counter supers. Doom is SOL. Thor can beat Morrigan/Doom though. Gotta keep Doom off the screen, which bolts would do very well
[]This team loses to Vergil, Zero, Viper, Wolverine, Wesker, Magneto, etc. free. Characters that rush down and can slow your momentum down beats this team, no ifs, ands or buts.
[]Bolts major flaw is also a good thing for Thor. You can duck bolts to avoid them, but then you are prone to Thor’s godlike j. L and his command grab. This is a total 50/50. If they stand, they can get clipped by his lows. If they crouch, they can get grabbed. The opponent is forced to guess and it can be irritating.
[]Strange/Doom zoning patterns are annoying, but pretty easy to fight against once you get used to it.

Thats what I got so far. I only played a couple of my players. Imma play a Hulk team, a Deadpool zoning team, a PW team and a Phoenix team and see how it does.
Verdict: Its a good Thor team. I don’t understand why this a theory team though. Is it suppose to be an endgame team? It seems like you get rid of Thor, you kill the team. Now you are left with an average character with missiles and anchor Doom. Its not that bad to work with, but I would rather put Dormammu second.
Oh, and air Mighty Strike plus missiles is some faggot shit. Seriously. Its good. Hard to stop.
That’s pretty much how I feel about the team. It’s optimized to bring out the best damage and screen coverage for Thor, but beyond that not much else, which is cool in itself, except for the fact that this is Marvel and anyone and anything can happen and lead to a dead character. I personally don’t like having both Missiles and Bolts on a Thor team at the same time because they both have considerable start up time. Thor does a decent job at protecting them both, but I’d rather not have to deal with that.
Thor with missiles is a great duo, and the third character can be pretty much anyone with a horizontal projectile assist. Iron Man’s great for the Unibeam in this case. Hawkeye or Taskmaster with them arrows works for cover, too, and Arthur’s daggers. Thor does surprisingly well converting off of Log Trap, too.
Then of course, you can stick Ammy in the back and run that and it works well. Dormammu’s my personal favorite for the second because of the DHC’s.
thor/missiles is good, but i feel like im handicapping myself when i play my thor/dormammu/doom team over thor/strange/amaterasu
but yeah, thor/strange/doom should work. The damage output you can get with missiles + strange fof loops starting from whatever thor hitconfirm must be crazy oo … ppl in this thread who make jokes about the team would surely lose free to a AAA thor user playing with those assists

Oh, that’s no problem. As we all know, all my tech comes from Based Nemo, who is a tourney player. So yes, they are important information.
Want to play a DP zoning team? Run DP / dorm / HM. This shit is retarded. I just started playing it. I’m actually a really good DP player but I can’t play dorm or doom at all, and it’s just ridiculously cheap.
With missiles behind him DP builds a ton of meter and can do a good bit of dmg without meter, even off throws. If I weren’t lazy as hell, I’d go and learn some TAC combo’s and better dorm combos and do some serious work. With dorm’s DHC, DP can kill off almost any characters if he starts with 1 meter.
Biggest thing is learning HM confirms which I’m not used to but it’s a really good zoning team.
It’s a joke/meme theory team. There’s a story behind it.
Either way, Strange is great second simply because he arguably has the best anti Morri/Doom support in the game. Once you gain meter, 2 supers that are good for sniping things out during AV. Vishanti DHC can keep her honest since if she decided to do anything where she won’t be able to unfly in time to save herself you can snipe her and Doom takes big damage also if he is near the vishanti. 7 rings DHC will also take half life away from Doom so if you have a point character that’s strong at going toe to toe with Morrigan’s pre AV projectiles, Doom can’t afford to take more than half life or risk things killing him off.
Then on top of that the best beam assist in the game for actually keeping Doom off screen. Two bolts that do considerable damage to Doom as an assist and each bolt has 8 pts durability which means its one of the few beam assists that can actually tear through Morri’s fireballs pretty decently pre AV. Since they only do one hit each they’ll also still do full damage even after the trade.

Doesn’t Thor/missiles lose to jam session free? Counter call missiles with jam session and it stops missiles and keeps Thor from moving in. GG.
Saying Jam Session beats missiles is as dumb as saying Mystic Ray beats missiles. Or dumb as saying you can snipe Vajra on reaction every single time because you tested it out in training mode.
The reason the stuff is hard to deal with and avoid is the point character behind the missiles or vajra. The assists only amplify that. That being said, from my understanding Thor has no problem sniping Jam Session with Mighty Strikes, and Mighty Strikes deals very well with projectiles of any sort.
That being said, Thor/Strange/Doom is a running gag around these places along with “Dante is ass”. The gags eventually go out of hand and the average player starts believing them.
