it resets the hitstun entirely, i’ve tested it and you can do a full on wesker combo after it- the issue is just the damage scaling is absolutely at the maximum possible so it’s kind of a huge crapshoot.

something interesting about that glitch is that i messed it up once, and the cart hit the opponent after maximum spider ended and had them flip out immediately. like the hit of the cart hit them, but the assist on-screen was long, long gone

thats just another version of the combo counter glitch. The player can block (holding back), but if the reset is done in 1 frame, the combo counter doesnt reset and it looks like its the same combo, but it isnt. What the vid shows is basically an american reset with the combo counter glitch.

The hit counter glitch and the capture state glitch are completely different.

doesn’t the capture state glitch not actually work if the opponent is blocking though?

Is it exclusive to the Shopping Cart assist, or can it be done with something else (like Jam Session)?

So how come damage is at minimum scaling, but hitstun is reset? Tab just said he could do a full Wesker combo after it. If it were just a combo counter glitch, I don’t think it would really explain how the hitstun is reset.

i did a full spidey combo beforehand too, cmon dawg

weskers buttons were all doing less than 5k each it was pretty stupid

also the bolo combo is a true dhc glitch style thing, not a fake reset- i’ve done it in matches before and you don’t get out of it. same with this thing.

In the beginning of the video he sets the dummy to block all and he gets the combo to work

i got a combo counter glitch thingy once with Thor/Coldstar, killed a dante meterless and it looked like it was the same combo, but it was just a reset.

You shouldn’t be able to get the combo with thor because you need a capture state. And here is the combo counter glitch and changing the cpu to block makes it not work.

yeah whatever, with that glitch you can beat the AI in very hard mode, but not people holding back lol

This is kinda bringing up old stuff at this point but I had a question/comment about this regarding frank. As far as I can tell, if you use the Magneto hyper-grav set-up and they take the hit, you can DHC to survival techniques and it sends them into a spin state causing it to whiff, allowing to OTG and combo from there. I’d be willing to bet its character specific and taller characters will get caught in the animation before they start spinning, but I’d have to test it further.

You can also do DHC to Happy Face Crusher even if it hits, and then OTG Snapshot xx X-Factor into whatever if you particularly feel like blowing your X-Factor. Assist+Snapshot seems super tight/impossible but maybe I’m just an idiot. So yeah, unless I’m missing something intentionally taking the hit shouldn’t be an issue for Frank. Sorry if this is common knowledge by now, just thought I should comment.

EDIT: Upon further inspection, DHCing to Survival Techniques works on Strange, Dormammu, Nemesis, Modok, etc. but does not work on Sentinel. Considering he can Hard Drive out anyway its not too big a deal.

I’m a few pages late to the chest to chest with Hulk at the start of the round discussion but I wanted to add that after watching Chris G snap Marlinpie’s EX Thunderknuckle I can’t wait to snap a Hulk’s s.H at the start of round the next time I play a Hulk.

There was some discussion of Wolverine and Plasma Beam a few pages back too and I’d like to add that if you haven’t already thought Plasma Beam is A) amazing and B) Wolverine’s best assist for at least 6 months now then you should consider moving out of your hole. Plasma Beam + Berserker Slash is pretty much herpderper slash from Vanilla.

I think my strange is too ass to do this consistently, I tried it a couple of times last night and couldn’t seem to get the correct combination of the glitch working combined with FoF loops. I dropped one or the other. I might try again later, but I can’t record it so if you’re looking for something like that, best do it on your own.

if that is true, then more power to frank. i just didn’t know if it would whiff. i’m not too keen on having to level frank to get this kind of setup tbh but it’s nice to know. he is probably stronger than spidey/she hulk so that’s good tho

The bigger question one should be asking themselves regarding all these glitches is “does this work outside of training mode.” Capture state for example doesn’t work in VS matches, and I wouldn’t be surprised one way or the other if the spidey or the command throw setup did or didn’t work in actual matches.

There’s nothing ‘glitchy’ about these setups though. You’re forcing them to guard something as they come in. They leave blockstun while still airborne and get thrown right after.

There are just very few anti-air throws to do it with. There also seem to be very few moves with small enough block stun that hit in the area you need them to.

Yeah, I did some tinkering with it and you’re right, it’s a system mechanic, not a glitch. Still, I think a healthy amount of skepticism should always be had. Either way, I’m pretty sure I’ve figured out how to use it for my own purposes, so needless to say I’m rather excited.
