2012-2013 NFL Discussion and Fantasy - TornadoFlame vs Travis - The rest of you are bandwagoners

Well that’s the NFL for you. Get enough guys injured and eventually scrubs like Justin Tryon will trot out there. Free wins.

I hope we get someone back soon, I’m immediately reminded of when we were stuck with C.C. Brown at safety for a whole season. That season did not go very favorably at all. Drew Brees saw dude week 6 and must have practically pissed himself with happiness, and the Giants won like 2 games after that.

Miles “GAWDDAMN” Austin!!!

damn the giants secondary is getting lit the fuck up
thats why they losing
plus those penalties are helping augment romos time of possession lol
claborne has to step up after this game
go to the tape nigga

Fixed. I feel like yelling “Let’s go Justin!” just to see if one of his teammates punches him in his fucking face for throwing this game.

If he’s here next week we are fucked against any QB in the league.

C.C. Brown 2.0 except at CB this time. Our season is over tonight if we have to rely on players of that caliber on defense.

Ugh, damn it Giants…I needed Eli to have one more drive.

Fuck you Cruz and your crashing back to Earth.

Sorely tempted to start Peyton next week if he performs well this Sunday.

Welp… that’s that. Congratulations Dallas. Looks like they wanted it more.

As a Giants fan, still not gonna harp on the refs overlooking the defender holding Cruz at end zone early on. Missed call or not… because honestly, Giants made some key mistakes throughout the game. 1st and 30… lol come on man. As much as I hate Dallas… they definitely wanted it more. Ogletree working hard to prevent cats from calling him Oglefree. Gotta respect that hard work and hustle. Just wish it didn’t come at the cost of my Giants. Till next time…

This…was a good ass game. I figured it was gonna be close but I didn’t expect Ogletree to step up like that.

Congrats Cowboys you are now the center of attention again for the next few days. Well that is until Sanchez fucks up and Tebow chants will happen again.

Damn Kevin going off the entire receiving core did pretty well. If Murray can keep running like that I think we will be scary. I also liked how our defense played especially lee new corners looking sharp. Romo won this game though with that gross O line play and so many penalties. Glad we got to play the Giants early this year instead of in December. Here is to a good start in big D.

Ogletree’s shenanigans were made possible by dez styling. Go cowboys.

Ogletree had some nice moves out there, nice ass route running and foot work.

Ogletree burned the Giants backups, as should be expected of a somewhat servicable third WR option in the NFL. If he couldn’t do that much he’d be a total bum. I wouldn’t go giving him too much credit, considering who he was lining up against.

Romo made Laurent Robinson look good last year, im sure he can do the same with Ogletree.

Poor Justin Tryon. But that’s why the Skins traded(?) him to the Colts when they did.

Too late, Santonio Holmes on record saying “Sanchez was rattled by Tebow trade” to press. Carry on.

Great season opener though. Cowboys looked like a different team. Was expecting them to fold on that penalty ridden drive where they wound up 1st and 30 but they pulled it out. Fuck the Giants:tup: (Packer fan)

still worried about those refs. missed that blatant holding call but, other than that they did fairly well. giants DBs got schooled

Poor nothing, he’s had 4 years now to step his game up, and he can’t even defend simple routes. If you can’t even defend scrubs like Ogletree on 3rd and 10 to save the season opener, it’s time for you to step aside. There’s a reason he’s their 5th/6th CB, and this will probably be his last stop on any NFL roster.

Not the first refs to ever miss holding calls for sure. Dude has 29 years experience as a ref, it’s not like they just plucked him out of his 8th grade job randomly. I doubt the quality of officiating will drop very noticeably, unless you take the media spin to heart every time something bad happens. As a SALTY ass Giants fan (still mad even today) I don’t blame the refs at all for that loss. Cowboys racked up penalties all night and the Giants didn’t capitalize.

all praise be to romo, the benevolent and most merciful.

The refs last night did a very solid job. A lot of holding not called, but that’s the NFL, holding happens on every play. Hell, most fans would KILL for this kind of reffing that allows players to just play the game. Their only real blown call that had any effect was the absolute blown PI during the Giants drive after Romo’s pick on 3rd Down, but we get one of those calls every week if not every game.

However, this was the best squad of Replacement Refs the league has. Not really worried about the quality of calls during big time games, we’ll get the best staff for those. I’m worried about those games that no one will watch. Tampa Bay is probably not gonna enjoy Week 1 (well…even less than normal). Either way, it’s all wait and see. We won’t know for sure how the entire group will handle things when Sunday rolls around.
